How I got found!!


After a long time be kept in a box I finally got displayed in a store in Antwerp.



I saw someone looking a me, "Ohh hello"  I said... "my name is Roos."
She picked me up and smiled at me.  She introduced herself as Cindy and asked me if I would like to see more than the store I was in. Of course I would!! But I got a problem.  While I was in the box I was feeling depressed till I heard a voice that said:  "Please don't cry you are making me sad."  I met Truffel. Together we survived the horrible time in the box where it was so dark  that I couldn't see him. But when we came out and I saw Truffel for the first time  I... I .... I.... it was love at first sight... we fell in love. 



So I explaind my problem and she agreed that Truffel is adorable.  So she took him too!!  "Nice to meet you Truffel."She said.  "Would you like to join Roos?"
And so we left the store...

off we go... to our new home!

As we left the store Cindy told us that she is now our Mom and that she is in a hurry to meet her boyfriend to drink something very strange called Hot Chocolate with cream.  Mmmmm not sure what it is, but it looked very tastfully



We went to a very big building: Central Station where the trains stops.



Look Truffel, there is still a Christmastree in front of the building!


I see it, but where are the lights?


Mom told us that we didn't need to take the train to get home but something that looks like it.. but no train!

We have to go to Deurne, very near Antwerp she said.
Look on the map if you can find where we are now.



I can see Antwerp!! There it is...



Roos, I can't find Deurne on this map. She said it was near Antwerp, but I don't see it...


Hurry Truffel Look at this strange thing... it is not a train but a tram.. we are in a metro!


What do you see Truffel? What is that yellow odd looking thing, do you see it?


Ohh Truffel thing are moving so quickly ... I think I am dizzy.


We got home safely, but I ''m very tired now.  All the new things! Just can't believe it...

Knor Knor, here I am again!

I love my life in small Belgium so far... but I didn't know where Belgium exactly was, so Mom showed me... and I will show you.


Ok, in the red circle you can find small Belgium into the big Europe.


Now you see only Belgium and we live still into the red circle.  Into the circle you see another red dot and that's the big city ANTWERP!

And we are still zooming in. Touristic map to find the nearest place to be as a tourist.

So, now we all know where Belgium and Antwerp is!

Mom took me to Antwerp for some sightseeing!
Wauw, beautiful big and buzy city...

Mom made some pictures 




4 times ME at the Hendrik Conscience-square.  The statue is Hendrik Conscience  himself.

Mom likes "frituur" I think she is addicted    You can buy frites and snacks.  MMMMMmmm smells delicious!


Belgium chocolate!!!


The "grote Markt" Town sqaure... very big, lot to see...



The typical buildings called":  guildhalls are buildings historically used by guilds for meetings and other purposes
These are called:Sint-Joris Gildehuis at de Grote Markt 7 and the Valk at Grote Markt 11



The City Hall  with the statue of Brabo.
Silvius Brabo is a mythical Roman soldier who is said to have killed a giant. Later this story was used to explain the name Antwerp (meaning hand throwing). Brabo once killed a giant, called Druon Antigoon, who asked money from people who wanted to pass the bridge over the river Scheldt. When they didn't want to or couldn't pay, he cut off their hand and threw it in the river. Because of this Brabo also removed the hand of the giant, and threw it into the river.
This mythical story is still shown by the statue in front of the Antwerp City Hall.




The Cathedral of Our Lady (Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Antwerp, Belgium
Mom had some trouble with the sun.  So no beautiful picture of me with the Cathedral. 


do you know the story of Nello and Patrasche?  It really happend in this Cathedral! Very SAD story 

Time to go home Mom said! Till next time ...

Mom got a call from her boyfriend.  He was hurt and needed to go to the hospital. 

very strange place...  but we had some fun while we were waiting

Mom got a surprise for me, but she wouldn't tell me what it was.
It was a small trip...  no no need of sunglasses she said.



A CONCERT!!!!  MOM TOOK ME TO A CONCERT!!!

I helpt the boyfriend of Mom to build a spaceship!

I had a lot of fun playing with LEGO.

An other surprise, I going to travel.
My first trip, sooooo exiting, can't wait.

Mom showed me where I was going to.


I will start in Finland.  Mervi will host me.


Then I will go to HongKong


next stop is New Mexico

oohhhhhhhh I can't wait to leave, but I 'm going to miss Truffel a lot

Hello!
This is little bit different update than "the usual ones",
because ToyVoyager Roos has arrived in Finland in January,
and left from here in February (she is no longer here)...
But because I couldn't register in this website earlier,
I do Roos's updates now... 



It is January now, and I finally arrived in Finland.
My host-Mom introduced herself and also show me the map of Jyväskylä.
It is the town where I live some weeks in Finland.
My host-Mom is living  in northern part of the city, just next to the lake

This is the house, where my host-Mom lives. She is living on the
second floor, and her windows are just in the middle of this photo.

After long travelling from Belgium to Finland, I was so tired, that
I decided to sleep little. My host-Mom told me, that there are so many
things to do in Finland, and I really want to have all those experiences
without feeling tired. So, my host-Mom gave me a blanket, and under
it there was so nice and warm, that I went to sleep very quickly.
There was also a real living cat there. He was so kind, and he took care that I could sleep in peace.

I was helping my host-Mom to cook. We decided to cook chicken sauce and boiled rice.
My host-Mom told me that the recipe is from her father (but my host-Mom has updated it little bit  ), and it is very good taste food.
She told me also that this meal is one of her favourite food.

Then I saw, how my host-Mom took something out off the freezer. What might be in it? At least it’s freezingly cold...
A cat is also interested, what is happening.
Then I could see, that there’s some peas, corns and red peppers!

Colours are so nice in the sauce!

...And add some cream-cheece-sauce to the chicken sauce.
Then it’s almost ready.
The cat came to take a look, because this food is smelling so good!
