Hey Mummy,
today me my host and two friendly Toys called Tom the Bear and Tim the Bear. We watched TV, a german show called Galileo, which was the reason why so many people joined toyvoyagers.com. Also we ate some chips and drank Fanta. I know that the pictures aren't so impressive but in the next days there will be some great pictures.
See you next time Mummy :)

at hosts home, Germany - 11th November 2011

By: MA_17

Mommy, mommy, mommy!!!

Today I could go out of my box. First all the other tvs were afraid, because they only saw my mane! I scrawled out of the box. I had no time to realize the others. Something put me down to the floor. What a surprise! It was Chrissy, my so loved friend from home! She introduced me to Madison and Beate. She arrived a few minutes before me.

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/8821/img3306r.jpg

Chrissy and Madison showed us the area where we arrived. Madison found something to eat for us. Hmmm, I didn't like it so much. There were also some frozen strawberries. I also didn't enjoy them. I'm a lion, I need meat! Chrissy shouted "look there are some other berries", but I just understood "bears". I climbed up the tree and wondered, there weren't any bears, only berries. (My host told me I will get some meat when we are back at home). Nothing to eat, but some nice decorations. I wanted to decorate Chrissy and all of the others helped me!

Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany - 12th November 2011

By: MA_17

Hello Mom,

today me and the other tvs visited Lutherstadt Wittenberg. We used the car to go there.
http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/1381/img3396v.jpg
http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/1367/img3397e.jpg

First we visited the market place. Here you can find the ancient town hall, the statue of Martin Luther and the town church.
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6287/img3327a.jpg
http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/7705/img3346g.jpg
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/3056/img3340sow.jpg

We did a walk around the town church. The streets are tiny! Near the church we found the statue of Johannes Bugenhagen and an old fountain.
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6987/img3329pq.jpg
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6712/img3336l.jpg
http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/3672/img3333p.jpg
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/4894/img3338h.jpg

When we walked from one church to the next we saw many backyards. Some of them owns restaurants, some museums.
We wanted to go to one of the restaurants but we couldn't read the menu. There wasn't enough straw to build a "tower" to climb up to the menu.
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/1333/img3343c.jpg

So we went to the next backyard. We found a fountain of 1558 and we also saw Lucas Cranach the Younger painting a picture. We helped him a little bit.
http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/8769/img3349b.jpg
http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/386/img3350p.jpg

In the third backyard we found the museum of history. There was a picture of the old money of the GDR. It looks really colourful.
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8541/img3372w.jpg

Finally we arrived at the most famous building of Wittenberg, the castle church. It is a little bit taller than me!
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1407/img3352k.jpg

Here you can see me sitting in front of the door where Martin Luther posted The Ninety-Five Theses on October 31, 1517.
http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/2499/img3357m.jpg

We also went inside the church. Wow, everything was so impressive!
http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/9757/img3362kw.jpg
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/4506/img3365p.jpg

After this sightseeing tour I was really tired! I'm a lion, I have to sleep a lot! So our host decided to do the last part by car. We went to the Hundertwasser school which was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. It looks colourful and funny!
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1334/img3398djra.jpg

It became dark when we went back home. And we saw a wonderful sunset!
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/3323/img3392qq.jpg
http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/4260/img3399c.jpg

Finally I can go to bed. Good night, Mom!

Tapsi

at hosts home, Germany - 16th November 2011

By: MA_17

Today Madison left us.
We cuddled him and gave him something to eat for his journey to Hamburg. I hope he'll arrive soon and will enjoy his stay in the north of Germany.

http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/4883/img3461br.jpg

Mom Mom Mom!!!
While we were having dinner, we listened to the radio and it was told that some people of the radio channel will be in the village! So we went to see Radio SAW live! It was so exciting! And too cold for a lion!
Can you see me on the first picture between the ladies Beate and Chrissy?

highway, Germany - 18th November 2011

By: MA_17

Hey Mommy,

today I was a little bit lazy. Our host took the two tv-ladies and me into her car and we just drove around for about 250km!!! We used the highway to go to Berlin and back.
So many cars and lights and so much speed! Chrissy held Beate and me in her arms all the time. I was really happy about that!

Goitzsche, Germany - 20th November 2011

By: MA_17

Hei Mum,

today we did a trip to the former brown-coal open cast mine of Goitzsche. The lake is also called "Bernsteinsee" (Lake of amber). It's about 840 hectars and it's located in the east of Saxony-Anhalt, near the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen.
On some pictures you have to look carefully to see me!
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/497/img3636mg.jpg
http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/1487/img3615e.jpg
http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/7408/img3605t.jpg
http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/6992/img3611b.jpg
http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/6937/img3603u.jpg
http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/8038/img3620lk.jpg
http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/6609/img3608i.jpg
http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/188/img3607c.jpg

We climbed up a wall. Chrissy was the fastest!
http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/1795/img3613t.jpg

Because the lake was a coal mine before we could see lots of old stuff from that time, like the big train.
http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/3295/img3632x.jpg
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/3769/img3622e.jpg
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9256/img3626t.jpg
http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6623/img3629kf.jpg
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1970/img3625ug.jpg
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/3074/img3634l.jpg
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6567/img3635h.jpg

We did a little competition: "Who is able to go closest to the water without getting wet feet". Beate got a good idea to do it. Chrissy lost! She got wet feet and a wet nose. Maybe she wanted to go swimming.
http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/6314/img3618n.jpg

Now, I'm off to Berlin.

Love, Tapsi

Berlin, Germany - 21st November 2011

By: MA_17

It's me again!

Today we did a sightseeing tour. First we weren't sure where to go...
http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/5313/img3641e.jpg

We decided to go to the Brandenburg Gate. It is one of the most well-known landmarks of Berlin and Germany.
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/149/img3645q.jpg
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3904/img3647b.jpg

The next stop was the Gendarmenmarkt. There's the Christmas market now.
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/4333/img3654fe.jpg

We also saw the Friedrichswerder Church and the monument of Karl Friedrich Schinkel.
http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/2228/img3656x.jpg
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/9468/img3662wi.jpg

Not far away you can see the Museum Island. We just stopped in front of the "Altes Museum" (old museum).
http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/3605/img3669ps.jpg

Next to the museums you can find the Berlin Cathedral.
http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/9356/img3668z.jpg

Not far away from the cathedral there's the Marx-Engels-Forum.
http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/2433/img3671h.jpg

Last but not least the highlight of our tour. The television tower next to Alexanderplace. It was constructed between 1965 and 1969 and with its height of 368 meters, it is the tallest structure in Germany. There is a visitor platform and a revolving restaurant in the middle of the sphere. The tower is part of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT).
The big wheel is part of one of the Christmas markets.
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/9508/img3675m.jpg
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5241/img3678fk.jpg

This is a special picture made of me. Here you can see lots of sights in only one picture: Berlin Cathedral, Humboldt-Box, St. Mary's Church, Hotel Park Inn, television tower and the Red City Hall.
http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/4879/img3661g.jpg

Love, Tapsi

middle of nowhere, Germany - 24th November 2011

By: MA_17

Mummyyyyyyy!

Today we went back from Berlin to our hosts second home.
When we arrived we enjoyed the sun while walking to a park.
At the end of this long street we found the park. We climbed up on different things (trees, benches and something arghhh, dunno what it was!). And we found some snowballs hanging on a tree. What a crazy world! Beate, Chrissy and I did a small snowball fight. It was fun!

school O'boom, Germany - 25th November 2011

By: MA_17

Hello Mummy,

my hosts Mom took me to school! I've never been to that place before!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/s1.jpg

First I checked all the technical facilities. We got a tv, some radios and an overhead projector.
http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/553/1001230i.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/s3.jpg

Then I had to decide what chalk I wanted to use. I was not sure if yellow or green.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/s4.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/s5.jpg

Sadly we all were to small to write on the board.

Berlin, Germany - 27th November 2011

By: MA_17

Moooommyyyyyy,

today we took some pictures on our way from A to B.
We stopped at the Charlottenburg Castle. It was windy!
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8439/img3863e.jpg
http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/3756/img3866x.jpg

And our second stop was the airport Tegel TXL. Sadly we couldn't see planes.
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/1482/img3871q.jpg

In the evening I was allowed to do a walk on my own.
First I went to Brandenburg Gate. I've been here before, but it looks also nice in the dark!
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/907/img3874b.jpg

And I saw somebody famous!!!
The picture is not so good, but on the stage behind me you can see Marit Larsen from Norway. She played some songs, I like all of them.
http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/7277/img3875d.jpg

I also took a picture of the famous East German Ampelmännchen.
http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/8108/img3876fu.jpg
http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/5332/img3877j.jpg

And I took some pictures at the Christmas markets. There are so many things to see! And so many things to eat!
http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/1193/img3878d.jpg
http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/1535/img3880pd.jpg
http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/1569/img3882x.jpg
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/4787/img3883n.jpg

Now I'm really tired. I think I'll go to bed now!
