Jyväskylä, Finland - 2nd March 2012

By: Nonnariina

Hello Mom!

Greetings from Finland! How are you? I`m really fine and I have had great time.

Just yesterday arrived new toyvoyager to Nonnariina! He is a fox called Charly6. He is very nice, I think.

Today I get change to do some winter things that people in Finland do. I and Charly made a snowman!  :D :DIt was so funny. We also made a snow castle and played hide and seek. In the picture Charly has just found me at snow castle.  :p

At afternoon Nonnariina made skis to me and Charly and we went to ski. It was little bit difficult but funny. Nonnariina had made ski track to yard. It was hard to get up hill… And then lose my ski! Charly helped me. And I falled several times. We also slided downhill with skis.

We were tired after skiing so we slept little and then we drank warm chocolate.

So now I have a lot of pictures to you!:)

Have a great day!

Jyväskylä, Finland - 29th March 2012

By: Nonnariina

Hello mom!

It has been very long time since Nonnariina last wrote here. She has been very busy, because of her schoolwork. I can`t understand how many tests she has to do...

But now Nonnariina has a little break from tests, so here we are B)

Spring is really coming to Finland. Snow is smelting everywhere, I have heard some birds, sun keeps shining and people doesn`t have to wear so many clothes. Spring also changes peoples minds: they are happier and full of energy.
But still one day it snowed, wet and big snowflakes... Nonnariina is really waiting for spring, because she likes cycling. She waits that streets are first empty of snow and then empty of sand (there is sand that people wouldn`t fall, when it`s slippery).

I have been out many times listening voices of nature and playing. I have also learned some Biology, Mathematics and Swedish, because these are some things Nonnariina learns at school. I have also read many nice books in English (Nonnariina had brought them from library). Black book in first photo tells story from far a way north. Anorether book at the same photo is named The heir of Mistmantle. It`s a story of a little squirrel called Urchin.
I also read a funny picturebook of two cats called Mandy and Andy.

Nonnariina read to me one book in Finnish. It`s name is Koiramäen talossa, in English it could be Doghill Farm. It tells about speaking dogs, who live like people lived in Finland many many years ago. In the picture one dog is making butter. Those dogs looked quite funny!! :p :p The author is Mauri Kunnas, who is quite famous in Finland. You can find more about him at

http://www.maurikunnas.net/mauri_kunnas/en_GB/

I hope that you are fine!

Hugs!<3

Stade de Suisse / Berne, Switzerland - 16th May 2012

By: dawoni

The great day was come. I could go to the soccer Swiss Cup final. My favourite team FC Lucern played against FC Basel.

The Swiss Cup is a football (soccer) cup tournament that has been organised annually since 1926 by the Swiss Football Association (SFV-ASF).

The final was held in The Stade de Suisse (Wankdorf) in Berne.

The Stade de Suisse was built on the grounds of the former Wankdorf Stadium, which was demolished in 2001. The new stadium has a capacity of 32,000 spectators, all covered seats. Integrated into the roof are solar panels with a yearly production of 1'200'000 kWh.

It was a pity, but my favourite team lost the game (4:2 Penalty shootout), but we really had a fantastic soccer night!

We made a trip to Alpnach (Schlierenrüti). The Schlierenrüti is one of the alluvial zones of national importance. It's fantastic in summer, when kids can play in the river.

The world famous Chapel Bridge (Kappelbrücke). The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning diagonally across the Reuss River. As part of the bridge complex, the Chapel Bridge includes the octagonal 43 m tall Wasserturm, which literally translates to "water tower". The Kapellbrücke almost burned down on August 18, 1993, destroying two thirds of its interior paintings. Shortly thereafter, the Kapellbrücke was reconstructed and again opened to the public on April 14, 1994 for a total of $2.1 million dollars
