Today hostess decided to have a wii day, all day!
We were watching her play Sims Castaway, it looks fun, but my paws are a little too small for the controlles, so i just watch.
Me with the whole gang here, we are 6 TVs here now, two are hostess' own.
The others are Odie (he has lived with hostess for over 2 years already, he havent heard from his mom in years, i feel sorry for the guy...) and then you see Cilly and little Fiete!

Svullrya, Norway - 8th January 2012
By: Sollie
When its as pretty outside as it is now, you can't sit inside all day, so we took a walk!
This is the first thing we passed on our walk, the local church!
It's an old church, all made of wood, originally from 1886.
It has seats for 340 people.
The first church was built in 1863, and had 200 seats, it got torn down in 1883.
The 28th January 1948, the roof of the church fell down because of the massive snow that had come down, only the tower and the back of it was still standing.
The church was rebuilt again, and was ready in 1950.
I think its a very pretty church!
This is the local store, its not big, but big enough!
If you look at the name on the building, you will actually see, that the name of the village is written WRONG, thats kinda funny.
Hostess sais its been like that for years and years
While we were walking, a snow scooterdrove past us, probably on its way to prepare the ski path, so we decided to walk up this hill here, to the local school, to see it that was the case!
And as hostess thought, he was making the tracks!
He was not finnished yet tho, only one side was done, but at least its enough snow to ski now, and im looking forward to take a ski trip with hostess soon!
It was so pretty, pure and fresh here, we walked through this forrest, and the sun was shining so pretty through the trees, it was lovely!
We walked across the local river Rotna, it was not totally closed yet, its a little too wild on this point for that.
All of us, on top of a GAPAHUK, thats a place where you can sleep over in the summer.
People ake a fire outside, bbq some sossages, or the fish they just caught in the river, and then sleep over here.
I bet its a really nice thing to do!
Hi from all of us, on the top of the Gapahuk!
Having a great time, even tho its getting colder, and colder.
At the moment its -19,2C outside, you can see the stars from a clear sky and the moon is making so much light, i bet you can walk in the forrest now, and still see enough!
Incredible!
Love, Eloy

Sweden, Sweden - 14th January 2012
By: Sollie
Guess where i have been...ow...you already saw it...SWEDEN!
I have visited two countries with one single host, not bad huh?
We went for a little trip, only to do some small shopping, and ofcourse we could join, and she took pictures of us by the boarder!
As you can see, this is an old boarder marker, and the trees in the background has been cut, they keep it that way, so you easy can see the boarder between the countries, it has been like that for hundreds of years!
They call it the tree boarder.
Here you can see it a little better, the tree boarder you see here is on the other side of the lake, and it separates Norway and Sweden.
Here you see little tourist me in Norway, looking at Sweden!
And just seconds later im in Sweden, looking at Norway!
Eloy the tourist

Svullrya, Norway - 9th February 2012
By: Sollie
Today we have been outside, Ragnhild showed us the different skiis they have!
In the really old ones, you just used your own normal shoes, the bindings went around the shoes, very practical, cause you didnt need special shoes for skiing!
In the 80's they had something called the "Rat Trap", you used special shoes, with 3 holes under the front of the shoe, and those you put onto the binding where it was 3 pointy things, and then you locked the binding, and it was stuck.
Later on they got more modern, and now you just click your shoe onto the lock of the binding, the shoe has a little metal bar on the front, and that one you click onto the binding of the skii.
Very easy!
Here i am on a little trip we had with the car, its a lake behind me, and its been so cold, the ice has "grown" out of the lake, around the rocks there, hope you can see it, it was really a funny sight!
All of us together

Oslo, Norway - 18th February 2012
By: Sollie
Dear mom!
Today we have been to OSLO!
I have been to the capital of Norway!
My hostess were meeting up with a friend who were visiting from The Netherlands, and we spend the whole day in Oslo, it was lots to see!
And here are some pictures!
All of us in Ragnhilds bag, in the car, on our way to the bus!
It was 45 minutes driving to Kongsvinger, where the bus would drive us further to Oslo.
Here we are on the bus, it was a 1 1/2 hour drive by bus...
But we were looking outside, and played some games, and time went fast!
Here we are at the bus stop Rød, thats where you could change busses to go to Gardermoen airport!
We arrived Oslo at 10:30, it was raining a little all day, but not too much.
Oslo is called the tiger city, and this statue was a gift to the city, for its 1000 year cekebrating being a city!
Its right outside the train station, at the beginning of the Karl Johan street, THE shopping street in Oslo, and the street u to the royal castle.
This is us, outside the national theater!
We even found a Geocache here!
We were inside the church in Oslo, but didnt take any pictures, cause it was not allowed to use flash.
They were repeating for a concert aswell, so we didnt want to disturp.
On the walls they have a little exebition, pictures from the tragedy in Oslo 22 July 2011
Hostes started to cry, so we left again...
Inside a shopping mall, we saw this little statue, do you know it?
Its the little mermaid that they also have in Denmark, in København!
So i feel i almost been there aswell hehe
At the end of the day, we went to the Opera house in Oslo...
Its really big, and a little weird, and it costed a lot of money aswell!
Had a great day, and hope you like the pictures!!!
Soon i will be on my way to JAPAN!
Love you mommy!

Kurashiki, Okayama pref., Japan - 24th March 2012
By: hanachan
Hello, Eustachia!
We came to Kurashiki-city, Okayama pref.
Our train ran across the Seto Ohashi Bridge over the Inland Sea. Unfortunately we saw nothing out of the window in the stormy weather when the train was running on the sea.
This area is kept the old city view of Tokugawa Shogunate period. (17th-19th century)
There are many historical houses beside the canal. These were once used as warehouse of cotton.
"Kura" of the city's name means warehouse in Japanese.
Eustachia, what do you think about "JinRikisha(Rickshaw)"? Nice photos we took!

Check View Map where I am We are far away from Takamatsu now.
Hinomisaki faces the Sea of Japan where blue sky and clear sea water are beautiful. The Hinomisaki Lighthouse is about 40m high, and is the highest of stone-build lighthouse in Asia. The guidebook says that the Lighthouse was selected as one of the World's One Hundred Most Historic Lighthouses
Near the lighthouse, there is Hinomisaki Shrine.

Matsue Castle
It's a pity the weather is bad
more about Matsue Castle
Samurai house and Inari shrine
Near the castle, some old houses which once Samurai lived still remain.
Today they are renovated as restaurants and souvenir shops, and beautiful garden is opened to public.
Eustachia, what do you think these statues of fox? Cute? Funny?
In Japan Fox is worshiped everywhere. This shrine is built on the site of the Castle.
