Hi!
I have arrived safely in the United States of America! Whoa~!
I am glad to get out of the mailing box.



My new host has two cats! Hello, kitty!



What kinds of things will I see here? I hope they have sweets! 

Today, we spent the entire day outdoors because it was so beautiful out.





We took a stroll through the Elm Creek Park Preserve behind my Host mom's house. It's so pretty here~!







We didn't know which path to take, but we found our way out and back to civilization somehow.

We spent this beautiful day at my Grandma's house with the kids. It's a perfect Summer day here!





I made lots of new friends!



They took me on the trampoline. It was bouncy!











We even went for a tractor ride. How many people are normally supposed to be on this.....?



I enjoyed being in the garden best!

Hello!
We're going on a special trip to Duluth, Minnesota~!
Hop in the car, everybody!



It's a three hour car trip; good thing I get a front window seat. 



We got a bite to eat and stretch our legs at this rest stop.





We're almost there and the view is spectacular!







I asked Host Mom if it was time for lunch...... and we stopped here at Grandma's Saloon. Yum!





We took some dessert to go! 


Our first stop was to Canal Park.



We got to see the famous Lift Bridge. What a site to see!



Look at this big thing I found:





Then, host mom saw these funny bicycle things-- so we just HAD to rent one to ride around! 

Look at me-- I'm driving! 





You can see the entire Lift Bridge in the background. It was really windy outside! Our bicycle contraption was very funny-looking..... heheheheh!





We rode to the end of the pier to see what Lake Superior really looks like.

We went into a cute shop called "Monkey Business"-- they only sold monkey related items! I found a friend who is even bigger than ME!!!! 



We're heading off to camp now. Host Mom tells me we'll be hanging out at the beach all week. Hip Hip Hooray~!

Today we're going to the beach!

We all piled into the car-- can you guess where we are going?



We're here at the Mall of America! It's the largest indoor mall in North America. It has it's own indoor amusement park, movie theater, sea exhibit, and wedding chapel!



We parked the car in the ramp labeled "Nevada".







I'm gonna push the button! 



Look-- We found the amusement park! It's called "Nickelodeon Universe".





I even met President Obama! ..... okay, not really. But his cardboard cutout was very handsome.



And we even found Lego Land~! Host mom loves this place.





Can you see the Minnesota store in the background? We went inside to get some postcards.




We didn't eat here, but the Rainforest Cafe is an infamous place.

Whew! We had a full day of shopping. We got home in time to make a pizza for dinner. Yummy~!

Some people my host knows went to Valleyfair (a huge amusement park), and they brought us back a gift they won:

Holy Toledo! This guy is WAAAYYY bigger than me! :O



Host mom is going to call him "Turk" from the movie Tarzan.

No way could he be a toy voyager, right?

I shudder to think what his postage would cost!

Host mom and I found this cool new store in the area! We will come back when it is open to try it out!!!!

We're going on anther road trip! Summer is the time for lots of trips here. We're going to a cabin!



We stopped in Moose Lake, Minnesota on the way to to the cabin. It's just a little town on the way.

Lake Superior~!





Don't worry-- Host mom made sure we were completely safe on the rock here:

This is the little bridge near the cabin we are renting.

We're going to an island tomorrow! Yay!

We're taking a boat ride across Lake Superior today!

Our destination is Devil's Island.







Look how calm and peaceful the lake is today:



Host mom's Grandpa was stationed on this island 53 years ago when he was in the Coast Guard.
It was his first time back since then......
(so it was a very special trip for us).







They even have a lighthouse!



Whew! We climbed all the way up 97 steps to see the view from the top=







Time to go back-- we had a great time here!
