Strange....

My host mother was just in the kitchen. I was not allowed to go with.
Well, I look at my Travellog in the meantime.



What was she doing that? She says I should not be so curious. I would find out soon enough.

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear Sir James, happy birthday to me  !

Today was not only Christmas Eve, but also my birthday!

First I got a mandarin cake with a candle and sang me a birthday song for all.




That's why I was not allowed yesterday in the kitchen. What a surpise!

Then I got a big piece of chocolate cake and my birthday present.




Look what I got! A red scarf! Isn't he pretty?


I look great  !


Then I blew out the birthday candle.


Done!


For cake, there were banana milkshake.




The birthday crown is a little too big for me  ...


Then we played "Blinde Kuh" (blind cow).


Rapunzel I first found.


We had a lot of fun!


Then we played "Topfschlagen". (pot beat)


I found him!


Under the pot is a piece of chocolate. Yummie!


Then there was champagne.




Oops ... I've probably watched too much to drink.

Today we were at a birthday party at the "Brot & Spiele" (Bread & Games). This is a very nice game-pub in Schweinfurt. The owner is a very good friend of my host-mother and it was his birthday.


Rapunzel and I sang him "Happy Birthday".


There were lots of cakes and cappuccino.




Then we played "Nicht Lustig" (Not funny).




For me, it got a "Platzverweis" (place reference). This is a very delicious non-alcoholic-cocktail with cherry-juice, lime and crushed ice.



Then we played a favorite game of my hosts: "Cartagena".




"You gotta fight for your right to party!"



It was a very nice evening! Thank you Steffen for the invitation!

Hi mum!

Today we went to dinner at a Japanese restaurant ("Kham" ) in Würzburg.


A typical japanese house.


Help! I have to eat with chopsticks!


As a starter, there were spring rolls and pakora (fried potato, spinach and eggplant with mint yoghurt).


For main courses there was "Jasha Momo" and "Tse Momo". Momo are boiled dumplings filled with Chicken (Jasha) and spinach (Tse).
In addition there was a salad and a very very very hot sauce  .


Yummi!!!!!

Hello!

Today the postman gave us a packet. On it was written: "Boofle insinde".
What is a "Boofle"??

Sir James and I was very curious.



Full of anticipation we opened the packet.
What was inside?  Candies, a little book, Christmas Ornaments, green tea and....


... Boofle! He is a very pretty little dog! He is  from Weilburg near Limburg in Hessen/Germany.
With so many gifts, he is welcome here  !


Then the neighbor's dog came over to say hello.
My host-mum don't know her name. She calls her "Oma" (grandma), because she is a very old dog.

We stayed inside and played ("Settler of Catan" and "Jaipur" ).

We had a small but nice new year's eve celebration!
Our neighbours Oli and Ines were with us.

We made pizza. Yummie :-)!

Sir James, Boffle and I had much to do!

I cut ham, mushrooms and olives.






Together we rolled out the dough.




Done!


There was punch and chips.






And then it was midnight... HAPPY NEW YEAR!




Party!!!

I slept peacefully as I was dragged roughly into bright light ...

What the hell I'm doing on a dark, rainy Sunday morning?

We travel by car and then stopping at this house. It is the "Meister Bär Altstadt Hotel" (Master Bear Oldcity hotel) in Hassfurt.


Oh, there is a delicious breakfast buffet!

There are tea, juice, eggs, cheese, salmon, croissants, delicious fruit etc.....






It was sooo yummie  !

This is determined by ordinary people, and TV stands for television.
These poor ignorant people  ....

Today was an exciting day!
First, the postman brought a small package.
Rapunzel, Boofle and I were very curious. What is inside?


Hello? Is anyone there?


Look, it's BineHH! Her home is near Hamburg, and now she comes to us from Dortmund.
She really is a sweet little crab!


Then our host mother told us that we will go to the theater tonight! We see "Rain Main" (like the movie).


That will be fun!

We arrived in Schweinfurt at the theater.


Tonight we see on stage, "Rain Main".


Even the theater is empty, but it will be fully determined yet!






The theater lasted 2 hours and then we had  hunger.
We went to an Indian restaurant called "Maharadscha".
We ate "Sabji Pakora" (fried vegetables with mint yoghurt).


For main courses there was "Palak Murgh" (chicken with spinach).


The Indian spices were delicious!

It was a very nice day!

Do you know what my hosts have just told me?

We leave tomorrow on a trip to Cologne!
There we go into the late-night-Show "Harald Schmidt Show" (a German moderator).


There is also another surprise, but it will not tell us ...

We even stay away overnight.

We are all excited like that!

We are ready!
We travel to Cologne!


Was our first trip a little bit boring, but we drove past the airport of Frankfurt. He is so huge! We saw some planes land and take off.

In Siegburg (a small town near Cologne), we had a hotel room.
The hotel was called "Kasserrolle". There we make our fresh and then drove to Cologne for the "Harald Schmidt Show".

Unfortunately we were not allowed into the studio ...
So we've done a photo with the painting by Harald Schmidt.


After the show it was a little surprise.
We rode in a car-cinema! We saw the German film "Offroad".




The movie was quite ok.
It was almost midnight when we finally were at the hotel. We slept like one too ....
