Berlin, Germany - 7th November 2011
By: MA_17
Hey Dad!
Today I did a short trip through the city. Emilia staied at our hosts home, because she didn't feel very well.
First I visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial. It is a memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. It consists of a 19,000 square metres site covered with 2,711 concrete slabs or "stelae", arranged in a grid pattern on a sloping field. The stelae are 2.38 m long, 0.95 m wide and vary in height from 0.2 to 4.8 m.
I also visited the Brandenburg Gate. It is a former city gate and one of the most well-known landmarks of Berlin and Germany.
And I went to the "Fernsehturm" (television tower) close to Alexanderplatz. It was not easy to go there. They are decorating everything for Christmas now!
The tower is part of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT). It was constructed between 1965 and 1969 and with its height of 368 meters, it is the tallest structure in Germany. There is a visitor platform and a revolving restaurant in the middle of the sphere.
Yours, Hippo

at hosts home, Germany - 11th November 2011
By: MA_17
Hei Dad,
sorry, we couldn't do any more pictures the last days, because our host is ill and lying in bed the last days.
So today we scrawled into the envelope to go on with our journey. Our next stop is Munich. We hope it doesn't take so long time to go there. There's not so much space inside this box.
Chrissy and Madison closed the envelope and will bring us to the post office this afternoon.

Ui,
this is a sweet hamster.
It's called "Mr. T". It's because of the black line on his back. It's lice the hair of Mr. T in A-Team.
Sweet little guy. We played a lot together. He liked to hide behind us.

Munich, Germany - 21st November 2011

Today we had a night-walk.
We went to the "Theresienwiese". This is where the Oktoberfest every year.
It was very difficult to take good pictures. I hope you see, how pretty it was.
Soon there will be the Tollwood-Festival. It is like a big basar. You can eat very tasty food and buy very exotic, funny or pretty thing for you or as presents for christmas. The enlighted tents are the tents in which the Tollwood-Festival will be.
On the other picture you see the big statue "Bavaria". You can go in there normally, but today it was too late.

Today we had a nice walk in the city of munich!
First we were at the "Königsplatz". There are so nice buildings! It's like beeing in Rom .
After that we saw a big statue. It's the statur of the God Neptun, which is standing in the Old Botanic Garden.
In the end we saw the "Residenz". Formerly for example kings (like King Ludwig II.) lived in there.
