Moi!

Today I went shopping (postcards!) and after that I was having lots of fun in one restaurant with 15 postcrossers. In this postcrossing meet up I had a tortilla and a piece of cake while writing a postcard to you, mum.

It is still very cold but I´m getting used to it. So far I didn´t see any moose here...

Tomorrow I will be busy again, I will tell you later,

Today they were voting for a new president in Finland. I also went to the voting place with my host when she voted. ToyVoyagers could not vote. But I was in the bag and I know what was going on in the election. I also posed with both the candidates -or their posters. How cool is it: I actually was there when Finland´s next president was chosen! Name of the new president is Sauli Niinistö. I think I would be a good president!

On the way back home I had some time to play in the snow. Now I am a little tired, I think I will sleep some days...

My host had migraine headache so we all stayed at home a couple of days. Now she is well again.

I also stayed in bed, ate fruits and something called LASKIAISPULLA. Normally those buns are eaten on the Shrove Tuesday, but my host can eat them any day And no wonder: they taste gooood!

On the coming weekend I will travel a bit... I tell you about it later.

We were planning a weekend trip to another city, but since my host was not feeling so well we made a road trip to the countryside.

I was able to see some moose traffic signs but not a real moose. And there was also a village called HIRVIKYLÄ = moose village Interesting landscapes and good company. This family really likes to listen to Adele

I have traveled a lot in the backpack (my host has sometimes forgotten her camera home...) and finally got also a couple of pictures. Me and my friends in the backpack! I have been working many days, here is also one photo from the work.

I think soon we will have some free time...

When I was reading I found myself in the book 

Can you see me in the forest? There I was with Eeyore, Piglet and two bears. After that I played Junior Monopoly with my friends and made praying pearls with the kids. Working is fun!

Today I had a second chance to participate a postcrossing meet up. Again it was very interesting. We wrote 121 postcards and I met a very nice postcrossing dog, Siiri

This was a fun day... First we went to a playground to build snowmen and snow women    And then there were TVs on TV FUNNY

Today was also the laundry day! Don´t worry, I was only watching the other toys to be washed and I was hanging around with them. I also met another toy moose  Moose in Finnish is HIRVI

Visit to a chocolate factory

Today I had a chance to visit a chocolate factory. I have one photo of me with the mascot panda standing in front of the candy shop and one photo of all the candies we bought

Church

Today we went to see one of the churches in Jyväskylä. The most beautiful one in the central park. We could not go to take photos inside because there was a wedding going on at that time.

This church was built 1880. It is the main church of large Jyväskylä parish. Also the park around it is very beautiful, maybe not winter time...

Railway station

At the railway station we saw one old train and lots of new trains. I was posing also in front of the old station building, it is beautiful. The new one is ugly, no photos

Harbour

We went to the harbour which is by the lake in the middle of the town. The ship are in the ice and people were skating and skiing on the ice. I wanted to try skating, but I couldn´t find skates my size

We went to a museum area to see old buildings. This place is open only summer time so we took pictures only outside. Interesting old wooden buildings!

We also saw a summer café and after that went home to drink coffee

Taulumäki Church

Taulumäki church is the biggest church in Jyväskylä. It was built 1929. It is the first church in Finland by a female architect. Elsi Borg was her name.

And as you can see: we had a sunny day again
