Travelog for: Kali

Hi, I'm Kali and this is my first log update. I'm at home right now, but will be going off to Kansas, in America very soon on my first ever tv trip! I'm very excited.

My mistress took some photos of me with my friends so I can look at them if I ever get home-sick.

On Wednesday, a fellow toy voyager came to stay with me and my mistress. He is a small brown rabbit named Wolverine, although he is taller than me!

My mistress put us both to bed early that night as I get tired easily, and Wolverine was tired from his journey. On Thursday she left us at home to get better acquainted whilst she attended an art show. My mistress said she didn't want to take us with her in case somebody tried to turn us into an exhibit. 

After work on Friday, my mistress picked us up and took me and Wolverine to her boyfriend's house for tea...we had Chinese takeaway. chicken and cashew nuts with chilli and garlic and sweet 'n' sour chicken! And she told us some exciting news! we were going to Blackpool tomorrow! I've never been but my mistress has lots of times and she loves it there.

When we were there, we went on a balloon ride, made a sand castle and played in the arcades. It was fun!

Kali was so excited to be greeted by such a lovely group of TVs on her arrival in Kansas! She was glad to breathe after her long flight across the Atlantic!

Kali met a knight in shining armor in the Where Kids Rule exhibit ("castle room") at Exploration Place! Then, she had fun playing in the pretend garden.

In the next sections of Exploration Place, Kali love watching the kids play vet and then marveled at the scale model of the town of Nicodemus, KS!

In the Explore Kansas room, Kali learned so much about Kansas! She rode in a tractor simulator and explored a pretend market. She learned that at some point, Kansas was under the sea, and fossils have been left behind. Kali learned how different Kansas plants and herbs are utilized. She learned that the sunflower is the Kansas state flower and the state amphibian is a salamander.

Kali was fascinated by the flight room at Exploration Place. She had fun climbing the things that were built on the construction table. Her favorite thing was the bat skeleton. She learned about how the bat's skeletal structure helps it fly.

The TVs were exited to stop and get their picture taken at Bonnie's Cafe in Gas, Kansas. It was made famous on the cover of the book Passing Gas, by Gary Gladstone. The TVs are sitting on the windowsill; it's hard to see in the full picture, so they asked host mom to take a closer shot! Kali took a look at the local paper, then noticed that the temperature was 102 (39c)! Summer in Kansas sure gets hot!

Kali enjoyed the drive to Wichita. These pictures show the pretty countryside in/around Eureka, KS.

The cats were hiding and wouldn't come out to play, so Kali played with Dove the doggie instead today!

Kali took a break on a window ledge. This is the building where the city stores supplies for things like parade floats and old equipment.

Kali found a melon growing in the garden! She was amazed at how humongous the Armenian cucumber can grow!

Kali enjoyed reading the start of the comic book that S made at her comics crash course!

Kali was excited to be host mom's helper with making pancakes for breakfast! First they put in the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Host mom added extra vanilla to make it extra delicious. Next, the dry ingredients went in. They stirred it all up and Kali watched to make sure they cooked right, with nice little bubbles forming on the top. Then, Kali made sure they were nicely browned when turned. Some of the pancakes were funny colors!

Today was HOT out! 107 (42C). Kali thought she might melt!
