San Francisco, California, U.S.A. - 27th August 2011
By: LittleCableCars
Thank you for showing me such an amazing time, Miss Kate, and for taking me to Madeline Island, the Sea Ranch, to lunch with my Mom, Lake Tahoe, California State Capitol, the State Fair, the quacking ducks, the hidden village and so many other nice outings, people, TVs and animals. I got home okay in just one day, caught a little laryngitis, probably from walking around in the fog at home. Don't worry, my quack is back.
It is good to see Robby again and a new TV, Airi, arrived in the same mail delivery that I did. Then a couple of days later we greeted Quentin Ducky. We'll show you photos of him soon; we are bonding with him now and discussing our TV adventures. He and I could pass for cousins; after all, I'm English on my mum's side. Airi is a cute little girl, species human, I think. I'm going to pop into an envelope soon and go visit her Mum in sunny Spain.
Here are some photos of our arrival home and walks around the city. The first photo shows Robby greeting the three of us that arrived on the same day: me, Airi and TV-TV, along with our souvenirs. We all toured the city, stopping to look at a steep street that doesn’t allow any cars, some cable cars and the Bay Bridge. Then, most importantly, mom kept her promise to take me to the duck pond near the Palace of Fine Arts, the only building still standing from the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition.
See ya,
Cheerio

Barcelona, Spain - 18th September 2011
By: anxova
Hello mum and everyone!!
How are you doing??
Today we spent the day in my host's neighbourhood:"Nou Barris".It's named for the nine neighborhoods that originally formed the district. (nou in Catalan is Nine, Barris is neighbourhoods).
It is located in the north of Barcelona and this neighbourhood is known for the beautiful botanical gardens, where people can get away from the city on the peaceful grounds.
It's very beautiful all full of green areas...but you can find a very strange thing also lol
This is Parc de la Guineueta. Look at the sky, today was not a sunny day!!! but thanks God it was cooler, I hope summer has end...
Talking about God...Look at this church! And I was the only one who posed! I'm the best
And walking around the area, I found a very strange thing!!! The City council let some neighbours to plant their fruits and vegetables in this urban garden, paying a little amount of money!! I think it's a good idea, but my host confirmed my fears:People sometimes steal plants...So sad!
What a nice cabbages,huh??
This afternoon, we went to see an amateur football training session because @Anxova has a friend who played there. OMG they were lazy players...Trainer was shouting all the time "run, run, ruuun come on!!!". It was so funny!!
See you soon!!!!
Take care mum,
Cheerio

Jeremy is home for the holidays! I never met him before; he was born while I was en route to Spain. I got the honor of holding the scissors to help him out of his travelop. The Squirrel, Orkku Orava and I were the welcoming committee.
How do you like my new look? Berta in Barcelona showed me how to fix my hair, I mean my down. Now I look less like a tom-boy. It’s true travel is educational.
Oh, Jeremy is a sweet little baby tiger who thinks he is all grown up since he’s been to Disneyland and now drinks coffee. He is so much fun, has a squeaky little voice. LOL. Mom was so glad to see him back from his first adventure.

GoldenBears Nominations, SF, CA, U.S.A. - 17th November 2011
By: LittleCableCars
Our stay-at-home-friend, The Squirrel, pointed out that DuDu has been nominated for a GoldenBear award in the Most Promising Newcomer category. That is quite an honor and DuDu must be so happy. His first year at Toyvoyagers.com has been very eventful, seems like he hit most of the extreme ups and downs. He stayed here a very long time and went through a difficult transition after inadvertently going into the wild, but many TVs go through that and go on and on. His saddest moment was his abandonment by his mentor. Mom says, "don't worry, he will get at least one vote" She disagrees with Vince Lombardi that winning is the only thing. DuDu will continue to live happily ever after with his beloved Dudette and continue the TV lifestyle. We are looking forward to seeing him and DuDette home for Christmas. Here he is recently with DuDette and nuriayasmin’s cat, Sammy.
Rafael, the first TV we hosted here, has been nominated in the plantlife category. We liked him a lot and Mom didn't want to let go of him, he was so special. He, too, will get at least one vote. . Look at him, sniffing that flower while staying with our friend, olgamaus. I stayed with her, too, and had a wonderful time!
LOL, so don't forget to vote for your favorite GoldenBears. Thank you dicker kumpel for reminding us to campaign; the last photo on the computer screen is RikeH’s.
Now Jeremy is showing us his new passion, drinking coffee. Eeyuck, must be an acquired taste.
Bye now,
Cheerio

Thanksgiving, U.S.A. - 19th November 2011
By: LittleCableCars
Happy Thanksgiving!
Over the river and through the woods
To grandmother's house we go.
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
Through the white and drifted snow, oh!
Love,
