Hi Mom! Today Pipps arrived just in time for the weekend. My host mom is going to Nebraska tomorrow and she cant wait to show us that state! She is going to buy a new vehicle and said we could help her pick out the perfect one! Pipps is really nice, I was a bit nervous when she started to crawl out of her envelope but when she finally crawled out all the way, I knew she was friendly. I know we will have alot of fun on our road trip. I am really excited to start seeing things. The weather has been really bad here in Kansas and my host mom hasn't shown me much. I am ready to see the world Talk to you soon, Love Ellie Muh

Kearney, Nebraska, United States - 5th March 2011
By: blockstar
Hi Mom! We went on a road trip to Kearney looking for a new car for my host mom. We looked around at the different dealerships and didnt find the perfect one. We just came home in our same old car. Hopefully before I go home my host mom will end up getting something nice so I can ride in it. After a while we ate at Red Lobster, it was delicious. I had garlic butter linguine with lump crab meat! YUMMMM....

Then we went shopping at walmart. My host mom and her fiance got some new movies and looked around at a bunch of things. It was a nice quiet road trip, my host brothers stayed in Kansas with their grandma so some peace and quiet was nice.

Tonight we decided to grill out on the grill the weather is nice enough to spend a little bit of time outside. We have had so much snow, it has been hard to get out and see much. The supper was so much fun to prepare! First we had to marinate the meat. Then we grilled it, then it was time to eat

Hill City Kansas, United States - 10th April 2011
By: blockstar
My Host Mom does taxes, and this year has been really crazy, today she had to to go Hill City and work. It is about an hour and fifteen minute drive. We got to ride in the dash to see the snowy land. Once we got there we went sight seeing and saw an old school house first, and then we went to a thrift store. The buildings were neat to see.

Logan Kansas, United States - 18th April 2011
By: blockstar
Today the weather was great and we ventured 20 mile to Logan, Kansas to the Logan Lake. It was great to see the beautiful lake as full as it was, there were even ducks on it. We tried to feed them bread but they were not friendly and flew away when we got too close.

By: aileen
Hi there!
I'm back home now!
I had a great trip to the USA and spent some time with blockstar over there! She was always very nice to me and I think I found new friends!
I'm already prepared for my next jouney, so if you'd like to take care of me please tell my mentor Aileen!
Here are some new pictures from home. We spent hours on the train and in the ships and we could also harvest some strawberries today.
Love,
Ellie Muh

Rieste/Alfsee & Fürstenau, Germany - 26th May 2011
By: aileen
Hi,
I'm already leaving again!
Willy W. is going home and I'm joining him on his trip!
Smokey is also leaving.
My last days here were really cool! I've been at the Alfsee, a lake close to where we live. Unfortunately you can't see how big it is on the pictures because there are trees in front.
Yesterday we celebrated a farewell-party for the three of us.
Then we baked vegetable crisps because some of us where eating real crisps all the time and Aileen said that wouldn't be so healthy.
Today it was finally time to say goodbye. We hugged each other and then we climbed into the package. And now Willy W. and me are in the post on our way to Katja!
See you!

Remscheid, Germany - 27th May 2011
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
I arrived in Remscheid today! The postman brought me and Willy W. to the workplace of my host Katja. She took us home and we had lunch.
[img][/img]
Katja likes all the sweets we brought with us and also the coasters. After lunch we had coffee and some of the sweets we brought with us.
It is raining here in North Rhine-Westpahlia, so we did not go outside.
Bye for now

Remscheid, Germany - 28th May 2011
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
today I met the other ToyVoyagers Cheerio, Lupus-Tigger and Drashuven. Of course Willy W. is also here, but he is still asleep!
In the afternoon we visited Germany's highest railway bridge, Muengsten Bridge (Müngstener Brücke). We took a walk through the forest to get there.
Soon we reached the river Wupper in the valley.
On our way to Muengsten Bridge we saw the shop of an artist blacksmith.
This shark is great to keep obtrusive neighbours from your estate
We reached Muengsten Bridge than. The bridge is the highest steel railroad bridge in Germany. The bridge is 107 metres (351 ft) high, 465 metres (1,530 ft) long and spans the valley of the river Wupper, connecting the cities of Remscheid and Solingen. It was built from 1893 until 1897. Unfortunately it is closed for more than a half year now due to repair works. The railway complany neglected this bridge for decades, now it has to be restored and fortified extensive and costly.
Due to several weeks without rain the river Wupper is shallow at the moment.
A leisure park was built under the bridge some years ago. This café was opened last year.
There are several plates with riddles on them. To hear the conclusion you have to jump onto the plate
They also have a kiosk and a crazy golf here.
We decided to walk a bit further through the forest. When we left the park and walked on in the forest we had to walk steep uphill. The steep slopes are cliffy.
Even from a larger distance we were not able to see the whole bridge!
We found a bridge to cross the river.
We found some information signs along our way.
We were exactly under the bridge!
Fossilized footprints?!
No! Katja told us there were many pictures, sayings and so on were into ground and rocks by stone cutters.
We reached this lovely outlook pavilion.
From here we had the best view to Muengsten Bridge.
Walking back to the car meant walking uphill again, really exhausting!
On our way home we had to buy a few things. In the eveining were want to do nothing but watch TV.
Bye
Ellie Muh
