Hi all!!

We had another look at all the plants today again. Don't these flowers look great?



The pepper plants are also doing really well.

 

And then there are now also strawberry and tomato plants.



We harvested the first sunflower!!



And this is what the rest looked like today.



The corn is also growing quite well!



And Tommy was in the garden enjoying the weather, so we decided to join him for a bit.

I arrived at BlackCats house somewhere in the last 5 days, but she wasn't at home until yesterday. Yesterday she helped me out of my envelope but was really forgetful and didn't think of pictures. But today we made a walk and made some pictures to show you that I am here now and to show you the first highlights. We went to the airport Essen/Mülheim and to a chapel not far from there. We made some nice photos to show to you and I really hope you like them!











It was a nice walk and I hope we will have a lot more walks in the near future.

Today we made a walk in the forest close to BlackCats home. She was searching for a geocache and we were searching for good photos. So now you will see what we saw.

Today we drove to Margarethenhöhe - a part of Essen. It was raining outside, so we were driving around with the car. But BlackCat always got out for making photos. The rain is driving us crazy. I hope it will stop soon, so that we can make bigger updates again. Hope you like the photos from the Margarethenhöhe.

Hey,

it was still raining when we went to Kettwig, a part of Essen, today. So BlackCat wasn't really motivated. But we made some photos of us in Kettwig. I really hope you like them.

And hopefully the weather will change soon!









It was a nice and wet walk. Now we are sitting on the heater to get dry again...

Hey,

today a new toy arrived at BlackCats home.



We heard her calls from the envelope and were waiting for her coming out.



And there she came. Her name is Mirembe and I hope we will have a good time together.



She didn't choose the best moment to come, as it is really bad weather here right now. But BlackCat said she will keep us entertained somehow, if the rain doesn't stop.

Today we want to show you a recipe. We really hope you enjoy watching us cooking and maybe you will try it at home as well?

What you need?

Noodles


Bolognese sauce (2 glasses)


One cup cream


Grated cheese (BlackCat uses Emmentaler) One package (here 200grams)


Okay, let’s start the cooking.

Preheat the oven on 180°C upper and lower heat.


Please cook the noodles as long as they need (normally 10 minutes). In the time while the noodles are cooking, you can mix the Bolognese sauce with the cream.




When the noodles are ready, get them out of the pot.


Now you put the noodles in a casserole and put the sauce mix on it. Mix it.


Put the cheese on it.


And now the casserole needs 15 minutes in the oven.


Here you see how it looks in the oven.


After 15 minutes it is ready!


Now, enjoy your meal!

Today was a nice and sunny day. But BlackCat promised a friend to visit a pet shop with her. A special pet shop, as they have a lot animals there, normal pet shops don’t even sell. So we went with her and had a look at all those animals.

There were chameleons, prairie dogs and other animals. But see yourself.













And we found some other cuddly toys. But they were hanging around and not really talkative.

Today a new voyager arrived at BlackCats house. He is called Grouchy and is mumbling the whole time. We will try to make it a nice time for him, but I guess he doesn’t want to…we’ll see.

today we went to a farm where BlackCat had to choose one pumpkin for the pumpkin carving she wants to do for Halloween.

It was a really hard choice, you can see there were thousands of pumpkins.

But she found one and I hope we can do pumpkin carving with her later.

Today we welcomed a new voyager here at BlackCats home.
His name is Spiker and he comes from the USA. Welcome Spiker!

Later today the sky turned grey and BlackCat got scared. Suddenly hail was coming down from the sky and we were all watching how it looked…BlackCat said not long and we will have snow. We will see. Snow is better than hail, I think.

Hey mum,

today we went into the city to have a walk at the new Thyssen Krupp quarter. It was opened last year!



This house is the so called „Stammhaus“ from Alfried Krupp and his family. It was totally destroyed in the Second World War, but 1960/61 an original rebuilt was built only 100meters away from the original place. It is a symbol for the beginnings of the Krupp area, which made Essen to the city it is now.

In the background you can see the town hall (the black building) and in the front you can see a car seller.



Next to the car seller you see a furniture store (Kröger), Ikea and McDonalds.

Hey,

while walking around at the car seller BlackCat made some photos with us and typical German cars. Mainly VW, as it was a VW seller. She will add the names of the cars later, when she was able to ask her boyfriend. Before that you can look at the pictures!

Today we visited the light weeks with BlackCat. It was opening today, so we saw a firework (sorry, we have no photos of that) and BlackCat showed us one of the pictures that are hanging around in Essen from the 30th October to the 7th January. Maybe we will show you more later!
