Berlin, Germany - 20th May 2012

By: QuamQuam

Heyho,
tomorrow Hoppsi will leave and that's why Marie, he and I went to the cinema as a farewell party :). We watched the film "Dark Shadows". It was funny but also very creepy, I hope I don't get nightmares :stare:. During the film we had popcorn and lemonade, very tasty :D.
Greetings
Carlino

Potsdamer Platz (Berlin), Germany - 26th May 2012

By: QuamQuam

Hello Mummy,
today it is very sunny and warm here B). A perfect day for visiting the "Potsdamer Platz". It is a famous place in Berlin because the Berlin Wall went right through it. I even saw a part of the Wall. It stood there as a monument. Furthermore the Potsdamer Platz is this famous because you can do many things there like shopping, visiting a caffee or simply walking around and enjoy the atmosphere. Wow, there are so many high buildings and there is so much traffic :o.
Near the railway station I saw a Turkish bazar. It looked very nice. But we could not stay there very long because Marie wanted to watch a 3D film. So we went to the "Sony Center". It was so cool. Just look at the fountain in the middle of it and the modern buildings around! There also was the cinema. When we went inside I couldn't believe my eyes: the screen was SO big, much bigger than in other cinemas. I put the 3D glasses on and the film "African Adventure" started, it was like a safari tour. I saw lions, elephants, hippos,... it was great :D.
Later I saw a little playground and climbed a bit. Can you see me, Mum?
Greetings
Carlino

Berlin, Germany - 1st June 2012

By: QuamQuam

Hello Mum,
BamBam, one of Marie's tv's, came back! He was in Austria but from there he traveled for example to Spain and Italy. He brought a souvenir with him: his ticket for a waterpark in Italy. He told me all about his trips and it was very interesting.
Love you Mummy

Berlin, Germany - 9th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

It's sightseeing time today!!

Oh Mummy, I saw soooo many sights! Marie started with me at the "Weltzeituhr" (world clock). As the name already says, it shows the time around the world. It is also a famous meeting point. We went on to the "Fernsehturm" (television tower). With its 365 meters it is the second highest television tower although I can't imagine that there is something higher than this :stare:.
Anyway, the next sight I saw was the "Marienkirche" (Church of Our Lady). It is one of the oldest churches in Berlin. Right next to it was the "Neptunbrunnen" (Neptune Fountain). It looked very impressive. If I turned around I could see the "Rotes Rathaus" (Red Townhall).
The "Berliner Dom" (Berlin Dome) and the "Spree" right opposite to it also looked beautiful. I had a look at the "Naturkundemuseum" (Museum of Natural Science), too.
Later on I had a tasty ice cream. :)
The last and the coolest sight I saw was the "Brandenburger Tor" (Brandenburg Gate). It marks the border between east- and west Berlin. Unfortunately we coudn't went very close because the place was too full of people. They came for the public viewing today.
GO GERMANY :D!

Greetings
Carlino

Berlin, Germany - 10th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

I had a very tasty lunch today: Fishfingers!
Of course I helped to prepare them. First I cracked an egg and put the fishfingers into it. Then I put them into the breading and on a plate. They already look yummy, don't you think? But before I could eat them they had to be fried. And what belongs to fishfingers? Right, potatoes and sauce.
Enjoy your meal!
Carlino

PS: I won't be in Berlin till Friday. It's a surprise trip :D.

Callenberg (Saxony), Germany - 11th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

Hello Mum,
I could hardly sleep last night because I was so excited. Marie takes me with her on school trip to Saxony today :D!
On the coach I looked out of the window. After about 4 hours we arrived at the youth hostel "Stausee Oberwald" in Callenberg and went to our nice bungalow. There I read some information about the Oberwald, ate sweets and played cards with Marie and her friends.
After that I was very tired and fell into my bed.
I wonder what the next days will bring...

Miniwelt Lichtenstein (Saxony), Germany - 12th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

Where can you see the Eiffel Tower (21. p.) and the Sydney Opera House (24. p.) at the same time? At the Miniwelt in Lichtenstein!
It is like a park where over 100 models of famous buildings are on display. They are hand made in a scale of 1:25. It was so impressive! I saw so many buildings that I don't know all the names. But I know that I saw the Einsteinturm (2. picture), an airport (3. p.), Stonehenge (4. p.), the Victory Column (7. p.), a pyramid of Gizeh with hieroglyphics (10./11. p.), the Washington Monument (18. p.), the Statue of Liberty (27. p.), the Atomium (33. p.), the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (34. p.), the Chinese Wall (36. p.), the Taj Mahal (38. p.) and the Leaning Tower of Pisa (40. p.).
Ohhh, this are really many pictures. I hope you don't need years to look at them, Mummy :o.

Greetings
Carlino

Leipzig (Saxony), Germany - 13th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

Hello friends of Saxony,
today Marie took me to the city center of Leipzig. It was a warm and sunny day and we had much fun with exploring the city. It is very beautiful there. I love the old buildings and the alleys. See me with the "Nikolaikirche" on the third picture. At the end of our tour Marie made a ship for me so that I could swim down a little fountain with it. HUII!!
Greetings

Freiberg (Saxony), Germany - 14th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

Hi Mummy,
today I went to Freiberg. It is a university town but we came there to see the Dome of Freiberg. You can see it on the left side of the first picture. I really liked the big windows. We even went inside. It was so beautiful! :D
After our visit to the Dome we walked through Freiberg. I saw colourful pictures on some walls, aren't they nice? We also passed the Castle "Freudenstein", just look at the eleventh picture. As in Leipzig there were little alleys and nice old buildings.
Tomorrow will be my last day here in Saxony. I hope it will be nice.
LOOOVE you, Mummy
Carlino

Callenberg (Saxony), Germany - 15th June 2012

By: QuamQuam

The last "Hello" from Saxony,
as you already know we have gone back to Berlin today. But before we did that, I took a walk along the lake near the youth hostel, the "Stausee Oberwald". It was very relaxing.
I found out that the lake is the home of a swan family, the chicks looked so sweet :).
The last thing I did in Saxony was playing on a playground, that was fun! I had very nice days in Saxony and I hope you like all the pictures, Mummy :D.
Greetings
