Bad Oldesloe, Germany - 27th March 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

we went to Bad Oldesloe. This is a small town near to Sülfeld. When we went into the city centre we crossed a bridge and saw this nice little river.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0356.jpg

This is the Townhall. It is much smaller than the one in Hamburg.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0363.jpg

There are many nice old buildings.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0365.jpg

We saw the river again - there were some ducks, I told them about the life of a ToyVoyager, but they were not interested in coming with us.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0381.jpg

Two other beautiful views - it was a nice place - I understand why the ducks live here.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0380.jpg

Many Greetings

Hamburg, Germany - 1st April 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

we went to Hamburg to see the Lake Alster. I already have been there – but wanted to see more. Here we are on the way in the train.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0393-1.jpg

We saw ducks in Bad Oldesloe – well – they live here in the city, too.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0399.jpg

This is the view over the Lake Binnenalster. This big white building behind me is the Four Seasons Hotel of Hamburg.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0402.jpg

We went onto the Lombards-Bridge to see more of the Lake.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0406.jpg

Well, we walked around the Lake – this is the other side – and you can see the Bridge – far away. The little boats are for boat trips on the Alster. I met LewisHH here – can you remember it, Mum?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0411.jpg

Back to work we passed this Theater.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0422.jpg

What a nice day.
Yours
Paddington Bear

Bad Segeberg, Germany - 3rd April 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

look at this photo – you can surely imagine, where I am?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0429.jpg

No - I am not in the USA, but in Bad Segeberg. They have a outdoor theatre here, where they play Winnetou-Stories.

They have a nice big lake here.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0437.jpg

I liked the view over the Lake.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0438.jpg

We walked around the Lake – it was a long way.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0443.jpg

There were nice flowers next to the path.

Sülfeld, Germany - 6th April 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

the weather was wonderful – and we decided to make a trip with the bike.

The way was really long!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0457.jpg

After some kilometers I relaxed in the sun.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0458.jpg

There was a lake – many fishes lives there.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0470.jpg

Back home I relaxed among beautiful flowers, what a nice trip.

Travemünde, Germany - 10th April 2011

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

we went to the Baltic Sea - to a place called Travemünde. The weather was really nice in the morning.
We walked along the beach.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0502.jpg

There were beautiful buildings.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0503.jpg

We had a delicious dinner in this funny chair.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0513.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0512.jpg

Later the weather was a little cloudy, but no problem for a ToyVoyager.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0532.jpg

This is the oldest lighthouse of Germany,  but it was not open.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0530.jpg

Behind me is a big hotel, we should spend some time here, Mum.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0531.jpg

Look - this is the photo of the afternoon - it was so windy!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0535.jpg

The trainstation of Travemünde is funny, on the tower you can see, when the next train to Lübeck will leave.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0545.jpg

At home we had delicious muffins.

Hamburg, Germany - 17th April 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

We went to a fair in Hamburg. It was so funny. We saw many things. These sharks were very scary!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0603.jpg

This slide was built in 1907. It was really funny.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0610.jpg

There was a big wheel.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0617.jpg

And a fast  carrousel. I didn’t want to use it.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0618.jpg

I preferred this one!

Hamburg, Germany - 21st April 2011

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

We went to Hamburg again to see the Port.  First we had a look at the new building of a philharmonics.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0628.jpg

And I saw a very big ship on the Elbe River.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0627.jpg

This is the Cap San Diego - it is a museum now.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0637.jpg

Behind me you see another museum-ship – it is a sailing ship – the Rickmer Rickmers.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0638.jpg

These are little boats which pull the big ships.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0639.jpg

This is a nicer view of the Rickmer Rickmers.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0645.jpg

This monument is a thank you for the crew of the ship Cap Anamur. They helped many Vietnamese people.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0648.jpg

I really liked the Port of Hamburg.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0655.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/B_0656.jpg

Sülfeld, Germany - 24th April 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

Happy Easter!!!

Today it is Easter and I met the Easter bunny. He told me that I should seek for some surprises.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0699.jpg

But first I talked with some other funny guys hanging around here.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0705.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0711.jpg

Then it was time to seek for some nice things. I found something...

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0679.jpg

...it is an Easter net, as they say here in Germany.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0680.jpg

It was a difficult search, so I asked Long Hippo to help me.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0689.jpg

He gave me a hint. There is a bunny with an egg in his bucket.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0690.jpg

It is for me!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0691.jpg

The bunny told me that there will be one more surprise outside.

So I went out and found a bunny out of chocolate!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0714.jpg

What a lot of presents for me!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0721.jpg

When I sat there, some chicken came. They were so cute!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0728.jpg

I really hope that you have a great Easter weekend, too, Mum!

Love
Paddington Bear

Norderstedt, Germany - 1st May 2011

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

We went to the Landesgartenschau in Norderstedt. They show a lot of plants there, it will last all summer long.

First we listened to a choir. Then we went to the plants. First we saw wonderful rhododendrons.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0740.jpg

There were many.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0741.jpg

It was the time of the tulips, so we saw a lot of in different colors.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0747.jpg

There was a funny exhibition of chicken. They were created by different Countrywomen's Associations.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0751.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2011/B_0752.jpg

I loved this view.

it is time for me to travel to the next host. RikeH told me that I will go to Russia.

I said goodbye to Dicker Kumpel. We had so much fun together!

Then all the others gave me a big hug!

Moscow, Russia - 25th May 2011

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello mummy!
I have not updated for ages, but it is Maria`s fault, she was too busy to switch-on her computer.

I saw Russian main Cathedral:

Quote:

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is a Church in Moscow, Russia, on the bank of the Moskva River, a few blocks west of the Kremlin. With an overall height of 105 metres (344 ft), it is the tallest Orthodox church in the world.

There is a beautiful bridge in front of the Cathedral. It is the bridge of people who just married, they come here and put locks on special iron trees. You can see one of them.

And i want to show you one metro station, hope not the last.

Hello mummy!
As you remember once I was at the bike-walk with Rike and I asked Maria to go for a bike walk again!
My friend Eugene and I went to the forest near Maria`s house. It was fun!
By the way Eugene is a bear too :) I`ll make better photo-session with him later :)

Hello mummy!
Maria is always at her work! That`s why she took me to the office. It was not much fun, but it is better than sitting at home.
Maria`s workplace is the most funniest and  cluttered up  at the office:)

From Maria`s office we went for a walk.
It was just small park, which we have crossed very fast, our disscussion was so interesting that we didn`t notice how found ourselves in small random cafe. Not bad day!

By the way - second photo shows you the most common communistic monument to the soviet worker. Near it you can see white-blue inscription which means 'Goods', such ones are not used in modern Moscow, but here it is stil in use!

50 km from Moscow, Russia - 3rd July 2011

By: TaisAfinskaia

I visited Maria`s house at the countryside. Te day was very hot and it was very nice to have a rest somewhere far from city.
I met new friends: snail and cat :) Snail was friendly and allowed me to ride her. And cat was pretty but too melancholic.
The best surprise was red rose which I found, it is so beautiful!
