Boo arrived safely in the United States after his long journey across the ocean!

His first visit was with Sydney the Sea Turtle, another traveling companion.

Here in the United States, it's Thanksgiving Day!

A time for giving thanks for all we have and the love we share with friends and family.

We stayed home and celebrated with Boo! Here's a pic of him celebrating!    (It's ok...he wasn't driving and he said this Kahlua was nothing compared to Russian vodka!!)  Wow!  Okay Boo!

A feline visitor by the name of Kashi spotted Boo in the Christmas tree on Christmas Day. 

Boo told us he had an artistic side, so to prove that we brought him along to our art studio.  Here he is showing off some of the paints he chose to use.  

And in the final picture...well, we'll just say that Boo had a few shots of Kahlua before he started painting....

Hello!  Boo here, I just wanted to let you know I arrived safe and sound in California.

Several toys greeted me when my package was opened!

Today my host took me to go hiking at Mount Woodson in Poway.




The entire hike would be 10 miles round trip on a steep rocky trail.  We left early so the sun would not be so hot starting out.  See all the morning fog on the man made lake?









Boulders are everywhere here!  Only 1.5 miles left to the top!





Whew, let's take a break!  Traveling around in a backpack is tiring work!





The top was mostly the same view, so we did not take a picture.  I did pose for two other pictures though!


Here is the lake later in the day with all of the fog gone!  Lots of people were out fishing most of the day!

Hi!  Today my host went to the zoo to study primates and invited me along!

After visiting the apes, we visited the "insect house".

A helicopter up by the polar bear exhibit.  For some reason the bears were not in their tanks! 






My host wanted to see elephants, so we did... but all the real ones were in their cage getting groomed and couldn't come say hi.











This is a tram that goes over the park.  Guests can get on it at the entrance and ride all the way up the hill to the polar bear area.

Hello! We greeted a new toyvoyager this week!  His name is Captain Caramel.





Captain traveled all the way from the UK to come visit us in California.  He also was thoughtful and brought our host a postcard with a recipe for bread!





Michel took a liking to the Captain right away,  I hope we can all become good friends!





Well not much to report this week, my host has been sick the last few days so we have not gone out, but will soon.

Today my host took me to a "home improvement" store called Home Depot.




We looked at various plants and plant pots.







My host wants to build a container garden on her patio to grow vegetables... hmm... which ones to get?





After picking out our seeds it was time to learn more about the plants we wanted to grow!









We wrapped the seeds in a wet towel and put them into a cup covered with plastic to help them germinate!






Well, that's all we can do with the seeds for now!

I am slipping into my envelope and being mailed off today to my next host in Australia!

I can't wait!

Boo has arrived safely in Australia. He has met the resident frogs and orangutans.

Today we visited Bendigo - there are many old (for Australia) buildings there, but we were looking for an Art Gallery to look at photos.

We drove out onto the main road and then up the highway.

When we saw the fountain we were nearly there!


We found the gallery and we snuck a photo inside.

We saw the old fire station on the way back to the car ...then on the way home we had an icecream!
On the way home we stopped to look at a monument so I had a rest in a gum tree.
Home to sleep now.
Night night.

PS I forgot!! I am tired!! We saw some unusual fungus thingy on the way home.

Today I helped with the ironing - boy that gets a bit hot!!
