Today, a package has arrived!

We went to Grandma's for a few days over half term.

It was too hot to do much, not even help Mummy, Daddy or Grandma with the weeding.

It was time to head back home to Wales but first, we stopped off at the Science Adventure Park, Magna.
We came here before! We started in water!

A whirlpool, and a water-raising complex.

Fire next! A four-stroke engine. The middle bits are back. In the background is a two-stroke engine.

My host turns the wheel and the middle bits come forward and the outer bits go back!

The fire tornado exhibit is hot!


Lighting isn't good in here.

Next stop was the main section where the steel was made. We allowed the newer visitors to have their photos taken with the big melt demonstration.
We went up to Air, but they removed the air-hockey

Final stop was Earth. There were wheelbarrows to move "rocks" to the sorters.

Time flies.... The centre is closing so we'd better go now....

Home at last and there was a pile of post including a parcel.

We've come to Grandma's house!

There are lots of ants in the garden. This book says that ants don't like crossing chalk!

Hmm, it has escaped. The ants we've watched seem quite happy to cross the chalk. Back to the drawing board.

Today, we've come to a castle built for King Edward I. This is Rhuddlan Castle.




These look like nice ruins.

We can climb up to the top of the wall later.

We are on top of the wall. There's a bridge down there over the river.

We can see for miles... Would be better on a clear day!

After Rhuddlan castle, some of us went to Talacre to see the lighthouse.

It could do with a lick of paint.

To celebrate Clyde's arrival and also to wish some of us who are travelling to pastures new

we shared a doughnut!

Today, my brother's school was closed due to strike action. So, we decided to go out to the zoo. My mummy took lots of photos.

I think these are a sea lions. They swim fast.

It looks so graceful underwater.

They swim quite fast and my host has trouble getting nice photos with them.

These are ostriches.

I'm not sure if there is enough room on that little section of branch for the both of them.

Some cute meerkats.

Aww, they are cute, just like me!

Maybe this one is looking for something.

This is an ape of some sort opposite the meerkat enclosure. 

The water is green but there is a menace. An alligator...
