Travelog for: Bolke

Today a new Toyvoyager saw the light!
His name is BOLKE and he lives in Huizen, The Netherlands.
The day he was born it snowed, and it was - 5 Celsius.
Everybody was delighted with his arrival!

Let the adventure begin!

Today was a good first day, we went to Mommys work: Alles Kids
I was so happy she made me a warm hat last night when I was asleep, it was icey cold out! Daddy hates the cold.

They work with children-entertainers and artists,
I saw one in the wild today!
He was funny, but he didn't have a rednose on or anything.

In the picture is me with some friends, one is Stinus,
he lives with us for a while also. We both have a piggy-toy.
Aint I cute!

Bedtime -  storytime!
I love "Goldilocks and the 3 bears",
when I close my eyes ... I'm the babybear!

Goodnite, sleep tight don't let the piggy's bite..

Wednesday, I'm starting to feel at home here!

While Mom tried to open the car that was frozen,
I checked out the frontyard. Cool stuff there,
I went on a few rides (Reindeer, Frog) and played
on the ice with some Hedgehogs. Pretty cold though!
Still - 5 degrees Celsius.

Can't wait to go to the sun ... That is: me and Stinus.
Yes, they want me to come on vacation to Aruba soon!
Wow, great, I hope they don't have any weird creatures there though, a dog is exciting enough.

There was some commotion in the livingroom later on.
My friend Stinus teased the dog of the house all afternoon,
poor thing. Chasing him around, shouting "hihaaaaaa" !

Well just before dinner, we all got friends and everybody is
happy. They took pictures, there were a lot of "ooohs and aaaaahs" !!!

Thursday we went to a friends house.
Mom has a interesting hobby that's called Mandala Drawing,
you can see on the picture that we tried helping, but that didnt
really work out!

So me and Stinus stuck to the fireplace, we also hung out
with Fred the house dog.

Here's Fred, he's kinda quiet and on his own,
but pretty cool, for a dog that is...

Yesterday we went to the Capital of the country
AMSTERDAM! 

That was so exciting, we took our car, the metro and a bus,
a true adventure! Some shops smelled weird there and 
they sell mushrooms, I really don't know why.
Mom didn't want to explain either.
I'm too young for that she says.

Amsterdam is filled with bikes, canals and pretty houses
and I've seen people from ALL over the world!
It was a truly great day!

Hi Fans!

Today was terrific, it was snowing heavily again, but as you all know we're tough kids, so we went to the small Harbour of this town (Huizen), that we're in. Long ago the North Sea would go over in the Southsea (Zuiderzee) and this was one of the Harbours of it!
Now a lot of it has become land(Unesco WH sites!).

For ages, about until the 1950's the people lived of Fishing!
The Harbour has the typical boats (Botter's) still lying around.
Shame the water was frozen (and so were we after a while!) so we couldnt go for a trip..... which is one of my Life missions ....

When we were almost icebears we went in the Restaurant, it's still in it's original state and very cosy and warm.
Guess what I had??? 

After the chocolatemilk and a pancake, it was time to have a look around. All this old stuff ... there was a replica of an old Botter - boat and look how they used to dress!

Back in the cold again!
We went to a place called the KALKOVENS, that's where people used to make chalk, weird building! Now it's a restaurant and you can actually eat in one of those pipes!

Wow ... the little fishermen houses are really cuuuuute!
This must be great in summer!

There also was this big bird, it didnt want to fly me around though ....

Stinus' last days with me in Huizen...

Sad times, I became to appreciate the little fellar
with the antlers, allthough he was weird at times.
He gave me a Valentines-Goobeypresent!

A Toyvoyager-shirt! It looks really good on me!

The Countdown to ARUBA has started!!!

4 more nights sleeping and then we go on the plane!!!!

Hi - finally I found  a computer that works!
I am really in Aruba now! 

Once we were off the plane the heat hit us!
Wow it's warm here, but there is a nice wind always.

Uncle Rob picked us up from the airport - Reina Beatrix.
We will add pictures later, that's too hard now.
We have a nice place to stay, they also have a pool, thank God!

There seem to be different animals here too,
hmmmmm... I wonder!
