Travelog for: Chebi

Hi there! 
My name is Chebi and I'm a cheburashka, an unknown to science creature. 

They say the first of us arrived to Russia in a crate of oranges. So I might descend from a tropical country. Now I represent the 7th generation of cheburashkas in my mom's house.
Look at me, a tropical animal in the Siberian frost!

Last New Year's Eve I made a wish to see the world and, perhaps, to meet relatives.

So I said good bye to my friends and now I'm ready to go!

Today I'm finally starting my journey and leaving for Costa Rica! I'm so excited!! 
I took a last short walk through my neighbourhood enjoing the rare sunny day.

Hello Mom,I'm finally here in Costa Rica!

It was a long trip but I arrived safely and happy. Now I'm going to live with Noelia, a 4 years old girl, and his parents. Here's the moment I met them:



There's a nice and green view around the house, I have some pictures, but I will post more soon





I will start my exploration of the country, and I'll keep youn informed. Bye mom!

Hi Mom!

I was taken this saturday to Transitarte, a summer festival in the center of San José, tha capital city of Costa Rica. Three parks in the center of the city, very close to each other, are taken by music concerts, books, sports exhibition, teather, handcrafts, etc.



In front of "The Metallic Building". This is actually a high school, named "Escuela Buenaventura Corrales", built over a century ago with metal pieces brought from Belgium:



In one place, there were children and adults playing with traditional toys. This is me trying to ride a wooden bike:

This is the building of the "Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones", and the beautiful flag of Costa Rica (according to my hosts  )

There was also a funny circle/comedy show:



And one scene that I really liked: they were putting on some music for free so the people, specially the older ones, could  remember old songs and dance:

So, it was a good day. I got to know the capital city of Costa Rica. And happy here! Bye mom

Chebi

Hey Mom!

I went for a trip this weekend with my host family. They wanted to know a new beach hotel at Matapalo  Beach, in the area of Liberia, province of Guanacaste in the Pacific coast of Costa Rica (do you know, by the way, Costa Rica means "rich coast"?)

The hotel was really nice!







Look! I found something from my country: Vodka!

But I was not in the mood for Vodka, the weather was very hot. So I went for some Imperial, the Costa Rican most famous beer (just a little)



It was my time for some relax near the pool:



In our way back home, we did some stops on the road. The trip back home take 4 hours by car. Here we were still at the coast, but only one house from home:



People were selling some food along the road. The banner says: "Cold coconut water", they were also selling "Vigoron", wich is fried pork meat prepared with a style common in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, the neighbour country



Finally, this is me saying goodbye to the ocean:

Hi mom!

Today was my last day at Costa Rica!. It was a great trip to this country. There were different climates during the time I spent here, I had some sunny days when I first came, but today it was a cloudy and foggy day







Even so, I could enjoy my last tropical fruit, a delicious watermellon ("sandía", in spanish) :



My hosts told me I'm going to Brazil, I'm excited!. So, here I go!

Chebi

Hello! It took some time but finally we could post some photos, we're having some problems with the internet signal.



The day I arrived it was very cold and we took some soup and watched the X-files series (that's very cool  )



Wathcing this I feel a little more normal than the things we see on the screen! Actually, I'm soo cute 



And I met Dejoara's cat, his name is Greko. He's a very lazy cat, he's 3 years old but It seens really more because of his laziness.



Soon I'll post some photos of our voyage to Uruguay, we went shopping in the border.

Hi!!Here comes some photos of our voyage to Uruguay. This city we visited is called Rio Branco (wich means White river) and it is 380km far from the capital Porto Alegre. It makes border with Jaguarão, the city on the Brazil side.The voyage took nearly 4 hours. It was a little tiring but cool at least.Thats the entrance to UruguayRio Branco is a little city with an avenue full of Free ShopsAnd in the other side of the bridge we get a beautiful viewDid you like it? Hello!! We're back in Porto Alegre again!
First I'll put some photos of our Christma's at Dejoara's house, that was very cool.






We've passed Dejoara's vacation travelling: 
we went to Curitiba (capital of a Brazilian state called Paraná, were we saw a lot of Araucárias - Araucária is a tree tipical from the region of Brazil) it's a city with lots of parks and we visited some of them!

we went to Torres (a beach very famous and beauty of the North Coast on the South Brazil)








and Finally we went to Rivera (a city on Uruguay right on the bundary with Brazil where we buy things cheaper on the Free Shops - unffortunately we couldn't take photos there because we couldn't carry the camera with us).
