Murray Building, Stanley, Hong Kong - 16th June 2010

By: vivyanhui

There are two well-known heritages in Stanley,
the Blake Pier and the Murray Building.
Both of them were originally locates in Central.

There are now few restaurants inside the Murray Building,
we chose one and had the salad and pizza as afternoon tea~

Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, Hong Kong - 17th June 2010

By: vivyanhui

It's the first time for me to take the double deck bus,
it's a bit high to me so I moved in a quite careful way.

But then I found it it's safe indeed, so I started to explore the bus.
All of us were so eager to sit in the first row, yeah!
A little window was there for the driver to keep knowing what's happening up here.

We passed through the bridges, and guess where's our destination?
It's Mongkok~

It's very good that the bus has a monitor to show the next stop,
it's very good to tourists like us~

The bus also passed through a construction site where bamboo scaffolding was there.

Photos were also taken from the Nathan Road,
the first and longest road in Kowloon.
I was surprised to see all those shop signs on both sides!  :o

Ladies Market, Mongkok, Hong Kong - 17th June 2010

By: vivyanhui

I went to the Ladies Market and there are lots of things to buy there,
clothes, souvenirs, toys, bags, anything you name it.

Vi bought something from the store,
Vi told that she chose it to be the new Regit Brown.
To me, it's just like a little piece of brownies.  ;)

It travelled home with us and we shared a lot of our travels with her.

Desserts day~

I had the chocolate souffle and wraffle with almond ice cream!  :cyclops:
I am not afraid of being fat~
Bears should eat more for storing fats before winter comes, right?  ;)

Hung Hom, Kowloon,, Hong Kong - 21st June 2010

By: vivyanhui

The first time for me to see Henna!

It's the Indian art of hand drawing,
different from tatoo, you can draw a new one whenever you want to.
Finish the drawing and wait for it to tried,
and here comes the pattern~  :o

the middle is the fried turnip roll,

Goldfish Market, Mongkok, Hong Kong - 25th June 2010

By: vivyanhui

Other than Ladies' Market, there are also other theme streets in Monkok,
for example, there's the sport shoes street,
what you can find is sport shoes from different brands.

And today I was in another street, the Goldfish Market,
people come here to buy stuffs for their aquarium,
buy food for fish, and other kinds of pets too!

I saw a store selling "Siu Mei", which means the roasted/ barbecued meat,
usually suckling, chicken or goose,
the food are hanging there and people can tell the chef what they want,
this store is having a traditional style and settings.

Wan Chai, Hong Kong - 28th June 2010

By: vivyanhui

It's so colourful and energetic here in Wan Chai.
That's what the buildings tell me.  :p

On my way to the Blue House Livelihood Exhibition,
I saw many colourful buildings.

The Blue House is well-known for its architectual structure and its historical value.

I even took a photo with the old style postal box too.

Old people tend to stick the picture of Gate God on the door to keep away the bad spirits and evils.

Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, Hong Kong - 4th July 2010

By: vivyanhui

MTR (Mass Transit Railway) Journey day.

MTR is an underground train, just like tube/ bahn/ metro,
it's air-conditioned, fast in speed and almost the main transport of many people.

Take a look of the system map and it's almost all over Hong Kong.

I started my journey at Wan Chai, the calligraphy of the station name is very beautiful.
I like it!  ;) Only the stations of Island Line (blue one) have calligraphy~
Different stations has their own colour as identity.

Got on the train and changed to the Red Line at Admiralty,
finally I arrived Yau Ma Tei, a transition of the Red and Green Line,
it's the beginning of the Green Line.

Central, Hong Kong - 6th July 2010

By: vivyanhui

This is a common street dessert here,
it's tofu pudding, can be serve in both hot and cold.

In the past, they are kept in a wooden pot,
but now usually in steel pot.

Before eating it, you can add some yellow sugar to it,
depends on how sweet you want.
Not adding sugar is also okay, because it's already full of the taste of tofu.

Adding sugar makes it becomes a bit yellow, tastes good~  B)
