Cowra, NSW, Australia - 23rd July 2009
By: sararingham
Next and last stop was Cowra a much larger town at around 14,000 people... so there was quite a few more signs of life than there were in the past few towns we've been through... crazy huh? Lot different than where I'm from... with all the farms, and tiny towns...
Unfortunately we didn't get to see much but when Sara was ready to leave Cowra she took us to a nice scenic part of Cowra... the Lachlan river this river is pretty massive and goes all the way to the Victoria border just after it meets up with the Murrumbidgee river. That's a mouth full isn't it? haha!
Here I am in front of the river... isn't it pretty now that it's cleared up a bit?
Sara says the last time she visited here it was a lot higher and that was back in March... weird since they've gotten quite a bit of rain since then.. but there are a lot more 'islands' than there were last time... here I am facing the opposite direction... that little white (or not so little it was pretty big) duck was making quite a bit of noise...
...and walking back towards the car we got to see the pillars under the highway - they're real outdoor aboriginal paintings... this is the best shot we got of them... cool huh?
Well... back to Orange... it's been a long day!

Bucharest, Romania - 16th September 2009
By: blueanka
Hello, hello.
We finally arrived in Bucharest, Romania, Eeyore Cutie and me. The trip was bumpy and I was afraid of getting lost a couple of times, but blueanka is nice and the house is welcoming, so everything is fine.
We have a rest day today, but tonight we will visit the city.
Eeyore Cutie and I have reached an agreement. Since we will be together most of the time, we will take turns in making updates. blueanka has a lot to type anyway, she works as a freelance translator, so we thought we can spare her of double updates.
Here is what Eeyore Cutie wrote for today.
blueanka said: | That has been a really long trip. We have finally arrived, me and Libbs, in Bucharest, Romania, after traveling a month from Australia. We had some issue on the way, the package got damaged, but fortunately we arrived safely in a welcoming home.
blueanka, our new host, was very happy to see us in the post office and took us right home, for a well deserved rest. Now she is updating our travel logs, so our families back home can stop worrying.
Well, this day will be an easy one. We got familiar with the surroundings and met the owl family living at blueanka's.
We will probably watch some television or read a little bit with blueanka and in the evening we will go out for a coffee or tea and a snack to blueanka's coffee shop.
Some photos follow, sorry for our tired looks.

Till next time, hugs from abroad

Sülfeld, Germany - 1st March 2010
By: RikeH
Hi Mum,
because the weather outside is horrible, we had to stay inside the house. But RikeH offered us delicious cakes. Look, they are really big.
It's too cold outside – there were'nt any tulips, but we had some inside. They were wonderful.
After eating two big peaces of cake I relaxed and talked to the fishes.
Bye for now

Amrum, Germany - 13th March 2010
By: RikeH
Moin Moin,
it was a very cold day outside, so we decided to have a nice evening in front of the fireplace.
First we had to work for it.
Then we had a relaxed evening – it was warm – and comfortable.
Yours
Libbs
