a room, somewhere, Germany - 11th November 2008
By: babyamy
This is how everything started yesterday: Katrin opened her wool box and this little Hungarian bear called Peti chose as many different colors as it could take.
Katrin started to work on her very own creature. But as always, something went wrong: the hands didn't do what the head had planned. Instead of create someting like a snake, something strange has began to live. But Peti isn't scared of me, he keeps his eye on me to make sure that nothing bad happens to me.
This is how I looked when Katrin went to bed yesterday:
And this is how I look today! I've grown a lot and when Katrin has finished crocheting this wool, I'll have to find me some eyes.
I remind Katrin of the ghosts of the Pacman game, that's why she decided that I'll be a ghost. I think, I'll have to learn more about ghosts but I already now that the can change their form very easily and yes, I can do this, too!
By the way, since nobody knows what I really am, Katrin called me Etwas. That's a German word which means "something".

Katrin's room, Germany - 15th November 2008
By: babyamy
Katrin has decided, that I'll go on a journey around the world one day and that I should be prepared for it. In her huge box full of books and CDs she wants to sell I discovered a cassette with the story of the "Little Ghost" by Otfried Preußler. I wanted to know something about this ghost and I started to listen to the cassette. In the story the kids meet the ghost and learn English, that's great for me. I learned to count to 12, and some colors and to introduce myself and do some small talk and animals and many other things.

Although it's Sunday today Katrin has been busy writing her report about the practical work in the museum. She has read all her notes again and again and in the end she has written 9 pages!

Kellinghusen, Germany - 17th November 2008
By: babyamy
When we came home this late afternoon, Katrin's mum told her that there is a parcel waiting for her in her room. She didn't expect anything but when she saw the sticker on the parcel, she remember that she has ordered it a few month ago on the internet. Since it's been quite a long time, she had totally forgotten about it.
We opened it and it looks like a mess. It took Katrin some time to get through all the things and find out, what she got.
Here we are with all the stuff: Notebooks, a pen, an USB-Stick and this funny blue guy which is an alarm clock.
There also was a letter and Katrin remembered after reading it, that this parcel belongs to a project of students from the Hamburg University. They wanted to give useful presents to other students and this is the present box.

I have already found some Christmas decorations in the house.
This one is my favourite. It's like a small village.
And it's more funny in the dark! Can you see me...?!

After I played enough, I decided to help Szandra in her homework.
I was very interested in learning about old times costume history.
We had to search baroque style clothes on the internet, than we printed them and stuck in to the roll of paper.

Unfortunately I couldn't spend more time with Willy W. who continued his journey to meet with his next host! Hope he'll arrive soon and I can read a lot of interesting stories in his travelog.
