office, Remscheid, Germany - 11th August 2008
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
today Katja took me, Fester and Tilda with her to work. She is working in a law firm. In her lunch break we made some photos.
Here you can see us sitting on the appointment calendar. Tilda fixed a date, she answered the phone once.
This is a statue showing Lady Justice, the Roman Goddess of Justice. Usually she is holding a sword, scales and she is wearing a blindfold. This statue is a little bit abstract.
This is the franking machine.

When we finished playing with the office machines we went into the town centre. We had to buy some food like bread, cheese and fruits.
The next two photos are showing show the shopping street.
This is the "Teo Otto Theatre", in the background you can see the tower of the town hall.
Bye

Müngsten Bridge, Remscheid/Solingen, Germany - 15th August 2008
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
today we took a walk. We started at Müngsten Bridge, one of the touristic highlights of this region.
The Müngsten Bridge is the highest steel railroad bridge in Germany. The bridge is 107 metres (350 ft) high and spans over the valley of the river Wupper, connecting the cities Remscheid and Solingen. The bridge was finished in 1897.
A few years ago a leisure park was built under the bridge.
We walked to Solingen-Unterburg through the forrest.

Lisburn, Northern Ireland - 22nd August 2008
By: HappySunshine
Hello!!
Today i arrived in Northern Ireland after a short journey from Austria - just in time for the rain to stop and a trip to the country this weekend! So far i have met the locals
the littles guys belong to Emma's boyfriend - he likes to paint models and is gathering an army - happily she has some My Little Ponies which are bigger to protect the rest of us!
I also met my fellow Toy Voyager, Blue Rat, who has just returned from a trip to Liverpool.
We are travelling to Co Armagh this afternoon, and i might get to learn the Irish word for goose later!

Belfast, Northern Ireland - 2nd September 2008
By: HappySunshine
I went to work with HS today and we got to go into Belfast. Although we were in the city for work, we had a quick look around in between the rain showers!
Here i am at the top of Royal Avenue, one of the main shopping streets in Belfast. It is a mixture of old and new architecture as this area was damaged a lot by bombs over the last 30 years - happily these have stopped now!
Here i am outside City Hall - this is where the Council sits and make decisions about the management of the city. At christmas there is an ice-rink set up in the grounds and a continental market is held where you can get hot chocolate and sweets!
Beside City Hall there is a Big Wheel that people can take a trip on and see over the whole city. it was meant to be just for the millenium but was so popular it has stayed!
