Sussy Greenfeet: "Mom, what is out there in the world? Cause it seems that the world is bigger than just this house."
Yolanda: "There is a lot out there, but that's not for you to worry about. Go and play with your brothers or something."
Sussy: "But mom, I want to see! I want to go out there and see the world and have adventures and meet others like us!"
http://www.charda.nl/gallery2/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=467&g2_serialNumber=1
Yolanda: *sigh* "All right, go and ask our mentor. Maybe she can arrange something. But know that I will miss you..."
http://www.charda.nl/gallery2/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=470&g2_serialNumber=1

So that's what happened! And that's why I'm here typing this story and trying to find hosts for my little pig, Sussy Greenfeet. So if you want to help her see the world, please let me know! As you can see, she's very excited about her travels around the world.

Well, today was the big day. Sussy Greenfeet has been sent away on her first big journey. But of course there was time for one last group photo with all the brothers and sisters.

Now let's hope she'll enjoy her flight and that she'll arrive safely in the US!

By: magickzzl

(sorry I have to back date this, I had computer problems!!)

Today I got to meet some other voyagers staying with my host, Izzy, and some of her my little ponies! She collects them, mostly the ones from the 80's she had as a kid. I got to ride a new pony who was very nice named Pearly. The other voyagers are very nice, I think this will be a good place to stay for a while!

Rocklin, Ca, USA - 8th May 2008

By: magickzzl

Izzy has been holding us hostage for 5 days!! Just kidding! Izzy's kitty Mr. Pickles got sick on her keyboard, and so she had to wait to get a new one.. But Mr. Pickles is feeling much better now! Today was Izzy's last day of school, so we went with her to help her with finals. That bum is mostly taking art classes! But we helped her study for English, we read the poem "the Fish" by Elizabeth Bishop. After her final Izzy took us to the science building which also houses a natural history museum! We found a stuffed deer with.. fangs! I was afraid but Scott the lobster protected me. Its called a Mutjak and they come from India! Their one of the oldest species of deer around! They look like vampires to me!
After we left the museum we headed to the art building to help out with a final critique, where the students have to talk about their work in front of the whooooooole class. Izzy did hers on tuesday, so she just laughed. When everything was done we found the printing press, which they use to sqeeeeeeze ink and paper together! We tried to squeeze Scott, but he was just to strong!

Auburn, CA, USA - 17th May 2008

By: magickzzl

Izzy took us with her to Auburn!! It was so much fun. We ate mexican salad that one of the nice 4H groups made (4H is an agriculture based club for young kids) and looked around gorgiose old town Auburn. We went to a little museum and learned about some of California's gold mining history. Lots of people came here in the 1840's and 50's to look for gold, and they used lots of ways to get it, including pans which they dunked in streams with some dirt in them and swished it around, all the way to big water cannons to tear into the sides of mountains. Auburn's hills are full of scars from the big water cannons. it was so neat! We also saw an old bus, only $10,000. ha ha.

This weekend Izzy took us to her family reunion up on the Russian River. It was so beautiful. We saw a peregrine falcon catch a fish not more then 20 feet away, baby foxes (called kits) and a great blue heron! California has so much wildlife.

London, United Kingdom - 11th June 2008

Sussy arrived tonight. She's safe and sound and doing well. Hopefully if the weather's ok we'll go out sightseeing this weekend - but we can't guarantee it because we've had a really strange spring so far...:(

London, United Kingdom - 21st June 2008

By: iddewes

Ok...I'm really sorry it has taken so long to update! Had to wait to get photos developped and didn't have a photo place very nearby...Anyway here they are, I'm also sorry Sussy looks kind of blurry...she's very small and I haven't got a good camera, but I did my best! :)
Well, we went into town...first to Waterloo area, where we even spotted the Mayor walking around! I was too shy to ask him to pose, though.
Here we are on Waterloo Bridge...
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00020.jpg
you can see the London Eye there, the giant ferris wheel! we didn't go on it though I'm afraid...it is too expensive. :(
But we went down along the river, so here are some photos from there...including the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben in the background...:)

Went for some lemonade in a pub...:)
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00014-1.jpg
then hit Covent Garden market! It's got a really nice craft market, and there's even a toy theatre!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00011-1.jpg
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00012.jpg
From there we went on to Trafalgar Square, one of the most famous places in London!
Here's St Martin in the Fields church there...

Well, I don't know why some of those photos were still sideways...I tried to edit them but I guess it didn't work! :( Stupid photobucket!
Anyway...here was our outing the following Saturday! We went down to Southbank again, near Waterloo, but we went farther down the river this time, not over to Covent Garden etc. First of all, we were there to meet a very special person - Michael Palin, one of the men from the comedy troupe Monty Python. :) I've known about him since I was little and it was great to meet him. But his publicist wouldn't allow us to pose with him, so here's just a photo of me getting my book signed.
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00025-1.jpg
We had a really nice lunch at Wagamama's restaurant then too...it's kind of Japanese food. :) There's the book too!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00027-1.jpg
Then we went for a walk along the river...:)
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00019-1.jpg
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00020-1.jpg
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00022-2.jpg
Here's the Millennium Bridge - it's supposed to be a bit wobbly, but it didn't feel like it.
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00013-1.jpg
And here's the Globe Theatre, built like the original Globe theatre was in the 16th century, when Shakespeare worked there :) they have Shakespeare plays on there, of course!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00012-1.jpg
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00011-2.jpg
Then on to Tate Modern! It's a modern art gallery, built in an old power station. This is a funny picture on the side of it...
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00017-2.jpg
Here's its spire
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00018-2.jpg
This is inside, a bit dark..
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00015-1.jpg
There was a special exhibition on street art...you could do your own graffiti there...so Sussy did...

London, United Kingdom - 28th June 2008

By: iddewes

Well, after that we went back onto the Millennium Bridge and finally went across it. Here we are going across...oh there's St Paul's Cathedral up ahead!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00009-1.jpg
Sussy was surprised that they sell ice cream right next to the cathedral!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00008-2.jpg
Oh NO! we missed our bus!!! it's the number 76 (you can just see it there)
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00007-2.jpg
So we walked to Bank, the financial area. It's got really nice architecture, but no one works there on Saturday, and the tourists don't go there.
Here's Sussy wondering where everyone is?
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00006-1.jpg
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00005-2.jpg
And this is Bank...see it's nice really!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00004-2.jpg
Sussy was interested in this sign which tells about the area...
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00003-2.jpg
She was glad she didn't have to go in here...
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00002-1.jpg
And since we missed the bus, here's the Underground!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00001-1.jpg

Just a couple of extra pics from Sussy's trip...:)
We did have a bit of a walk around the West End, where there are lots of theatres. We didn't go to a show (oh, I'm afraid they are really too expensive, unfortunately :( ), but Sussy would have liked to see this one!
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/tablaqueen/CNV00009-2.jpg
And here's Sussy relaxing in our garden at home. :)
