Hello! so, I am here again!..
So today I have been visiting Matosinhos in Portugal  ;)

This street is very known here.. it's called 'Brito Capelo' and there are a lot of shops...but what I like the most in Matosinhos is of course: the beach!

ahhh...so nice to be here...

can you see the clouds behind me?... this statue is really big!.. and it is in the beach also. This city is very known because of their fish, and the fisherman's. This statue represents their wives waiting for them.

Rome, NY, USA - 17th May 2008

By: Michele_one_L

Hello Mom! I arrived safely in New York just a few minutes ago. My new host says that I arrived just in time because we are headed to Syracuse, NY for the day.

I'll update with some pictures later.

Smooches,

Bellatrix

Rome, NY , USA - 17th May 2008

By: Michele_one_L

I arrived in New York this morning and I was happy to finally be here. I felt some rattling like I was being placed in a mailbox,  I could only hope that's where I was being placed. Soon after I heard a slam..... Oh no I began to worry that no one would find me. It seemed like hours went by before I saw some light (I was later told it was less than 10 minutes). I felt my envelope moving again, could this be my new host? I laid still and didn't make a noise.

I heard voices.....Was it my imagination or other TV's? Suddenly...I hear "look we have a visitor!" Yes! I arrived at the right place, my envelope soon opened and I could breathe again.

I was greeted by HitchaRideMo, Cliff, Honey Bear and Pebbels. They all seemed very happy to see me! They told me that I arrived just in time as they were just headed out the door. I'm happy I arrived when I did! I'll update again soon. I need some time to get to know this place a little better.

Smooches!

Christmas Tree Shop, USA - 17th May 2008

By: Michele_one_L

My host and her husband decided to take a drive to Syracuse, NY today. Our host said that her husband is always telling her about the shops that are there so she wanted to check it out.

The plaza we went to had a Christmas Tree Shop. Our host seemed very excited about this! I guess it was worth the trip then.

After the Christmas Tree Shop we wanted to go to lunch. My host drove around looking for the place that her husband  wanted to eat at. In the end she never found the place because her husband didn't get the directions before we left the house. MEN!  ;) So we drove back to Rome to have lunch.

For lunch we went to an old restaurant in Rome called "The Colonial." It is run down and outdated. Michele's husband told us that it used to be called "Fric and Fracs" but that someone bought the Fric and Frac recipes and opened this restaurant. The Colonial is supposed to be closing soon because the person who owns it doesn't have the time or money to keep up with it.

We ordered a Pepsi to drink and needed a minute to look over the menu. There are so many choices I don't know how we will ever agree on something to share.

The Colonial, Rome, NY, USA - 17th May 2008

By: Michele_one_L

We decided to order an appetizer before our meal. Everyone agreed on chicken fingers. We also got to pick out two dipping sauces for them, so we chose mild buffalo sauce and honey mustard. They were delicious!  :p As for our meal we couldn't decide what to get so Michele said that she was going to pick for us. She picked a pita sandwich called the "Chaz Maraz." It has turkey, tomatoes, bacon, black olives, lettuce, mozzarella cheese and onions. Michele asked for them not to put the lettuce or onions on, I guess she doesn't like them or something.

After lunch we headed back to our host's house, but first she wanted to go to the post office to pick up her mail. To her surprise there was a package that looked like it could be a new TV!  We had no idea who could be inside, but we were all excited to see who it is.

Once we return to Michele's house she opened the package for us. It was Muumipeikko:D It's nice to see new faces once in awhile. Now we need to get to know each other.

Michele's House, USA - 19th May 2008

By: Michele_one_L

This afternoon our host decided to go to the Salvation Army to look for teddy bears. She told us that there was a new TV named ThreadBear who was collecting teddy bears for children in South Africa.  :D

When she returned home she had a bag full of animals. She said that they needed a bath and a snack before they can be sent to South Africa. We asked if we could meet them. She said yes but told us not to be surprised if they didn't answer us. Boy was she wrong! We asked them questions and everyone was answering at the same time. We knew this was going to be tough.

Our host asked us to pose together as it was time for the new animals to get a bath. Everyone seemed happy but that's because they have no idea what's going on.  :)

We wanted to see what it was like to get a wash and dry at our host's house. We wished everyone luck because we hear that dryers are known to eat socks.  Who knows what will happen to stuffed animals.  Our host promised that everyone who went in for a wash and dry would come back.

Okay so our host was right....No one was taken by the sock monsters in the dryer.  Too bad because it would have been a fun mystery.

Not a whole lot has been going on here lately. The weather has been terrible! Our host said she wanted to take us a couple of places but that she hasn't been able to because of the rain. We wanted to see for ourselves.  :( Our host was right, it's raining outside. So to keep us busy we decided to watch some DVD's. We couldn't agree on one title so we were going to watch 3 different ones.
