I'm gonna have to post these pictures with no write-up for now, as my host has taken sleeping pills and is about to hit the pillow. See Buzz Bluejay's blog for more details...
I shall be back to update soon!

Winwick, Warrington, England - 7th October 2011
By: Gizalba
These were taken about a week ago at the end of another abnormally hot and sunny day for this time of year. It is a church in the next village along from my host's home village.
(The last entry showed photos from a Business Park we passed in Cheadle, Manchester, when the sun was setting. Usually Business Parks are quite ugly, but the water attracting wildlife made this one pretty And I loved the swans.)

Durham , England - 15th October 2011
By: Gizalba
So, on the 3rd of October (quite in the past now!), we arrived in the university Halls of residence. On another day there was a double rainbow! We rushed over to climb onto the windowsill, but sadly it was fading quickly I don't know if you can see the remains of one of them just above the roof on the opposite building?
The other pics are of our new Toyvoyager accomodation :P The shelf is very much like the one back at my host's home, only this one is more spacious so we can all fit on

Durham City, England - 30th October 2011
By: Gizalba
Today we had a quick trip to town to get some shopping essentials. We visited the town centre with these pretty statues. The second one is Neptune I think, he looked very superior with his Trident.
Due to the clocks moving back it seemed to get dark extremely quickly! On the way back along the river we took a nice picture where you can see the small crescent moon. Can you spot it?!

Durham, England - 19th November 2011

Tonight we are going to the Lumiere light festival
We have noticed in the forums that many hosts are making TVs winter clothes. Well, my host really needs to learn how to knit over Christmas! For now though she cheated I don't know if this happens in other countries, but when it gets cold in England, Innocent Smoothie drinks start wearing woolly hats! They are knitted by generous volunteers in order to raise money for Age UK. My host has just looked up the website and people from all over the world can send them in before the 14th of October every year >
www.innocentdrinks.co.uk
Aanyway, back to us! What normal people do with these hats they receive on their smoothies, we don't know. Because obviously the only real use for them afterwards, is for TVs! My host bought it in mind for Edelweiss, but when Sienna got it down for her, it was a bit big. Edelweiss was kind and thought I might like to wear it instead It was perfect for our night out in the cold... or it would have been if we hadn't forgotten it! Ah well, maybe it will keep me warm another day.
I cut the map off the Lumiere programme to make it easier for us to refer to whilst walking. Then we set out to this festival of light!
P.s. After my host messing around trying to improve these updates, my photos are still out of order! The last two photos were meant to come first...
