Vargön, Sweden - 17th March 2008
By: koocachoo
I were actually going to Germany today. I was all packed and done but then something happened!! You wouldn't believe your eyes.
Yesterday it was such a wonderful and sunny day! This morning....I had to look twice...or even more!! It had SNOWED!! And that wasn't small....it was snow EVERYWHERE!!
It was almost impossible to walk!! It was so much snow!! We measured it and it was 30 cm snow that had fallen since this night!! I'm still in chock!!
The picture is of the place where I'm staying as we didn't want to drive out anywhere (there had been lots of accidents during the day on the roads....some due to people had changed to summer wheels instead of the winter wheels on their cars).

Meissen, Germany - 22nd March 2008
By: CathyB
Dear Mom and Mirdin
today I arrived safety in Meissen at Katrin's and Jessy's house. Althought my travelling envelope was very comfortable, I found a cheap train connection through the nice Country Germany. The weather was totally nice although the forecast wasn't so good. So I had a very comfortable journey and Katrin and some friends picked me up on the airport. I will show you the picture's tomorrow. I'm tired today and my day was a little stressful. Right after I arrived, Katrin and Jessy took me with the car to Jessy's grandparents and I had my first real Easter Adventure. I helped Jessy finding the hidden gifts and we had so much fun. I found some chocolate eggs as well, you can be proud of me. I save them for you on a safe place. We just came back home. Jessy feels a little sick and she will go to bed early today. So I decidet to stay with her and in the meantime I will meet some of her roommates. Thousands of sheeps seems to live here, in all size and variations. I haven't seen the both cat's yet, Katrin told me. But I feel, they are in the near. A little butterfly felt in love to me today, during my journey. he still sits on my back and don't want to leave me. Although he is very sweet and quiet, I really hope I will get rid of him somewhen today. Hope I can leave him somewhere on a flower. So, I'm fine and happy to be here. At the moment everything is a little new for me. New surprises in every single corner. I will write tomorrow again and hope you are doing fine. Milky Hugs - Bertha

Dear Mom and Mirdin
Here you can see my pictures, that I made yesterday on the train ride. The weather on my travel to Germany was very nice. I've seen beautiful landscapes, lots of strange animals, nice houses and happy little people.

In the evening I found more easter eggs in Jessy's house, together with the guys the live here: These are the doll Emmi Emmigrant, the sheeps Vanillivi, Patrick and Sören, Teddy Bruno and me. They are not toy voyagers, but they live here, together with hundreds of other toys I met yesterday. We shared all our sweets and had a good time. Then I went to bed with Katrin, because I was sooo tired.

Sunday, 23. March
This morning I slept very long. At 5 am in the morning we woke up, because the Easter bells from the big cathedral in Meissen made noise. It was nice, but long lasting, until half an hour. As they finally stopped, I could continue sleeping and crawling under Katrin's pillow.
In the morning I woke up and scared to death, because outside it looked all white. I thought, I may have sleeping until Christmas and took a view in the calendar, but it was Sunday the 23rd March and still Easter.

Dear Mom & Mirdin,
today Katrin and Jessy took me for a visit to Jessy's grandparents in Dresden[. They decited I need to see an authentic East German "PLattenbau" (it is an apartment house, which was typically here in the 1980's). Jessy's grandparents live behind the balcony with the glass window, the way I look. You should find it. I've seen some crazy creatures there again, and I thought, I came to a Zoo.

these guys are Chico and Rosie, they are African Kongo parrots and very, very cute. Althought I was a little afraid about them big beaks. But they were in a cake. Then I met Frosty... damn, he was so cute!! And so small. I couldn't believe that he lives in a living room. I also met Schnurri, the cat of Jessy's parents. She was very kindly and kissed me and let me laying with her on her sunny place next to the window. Jessy's grandmother made a yummy lemon cake. We brought some home so I will eat some for breakfast. I will write the recipe in my travel diary for you. Before we went home, Jessy's grandfather Wolfgang let the parrots out and Chico took a land on Jessy's head. I was scared to death but he did nothing. And I made a delicious picture for you.
I will spend the night with Katrin again. She feels more sick today so I will trust her. I'm excited what we will do tomorrow.
Good night
Bertha

Hello again
today some interesting things happened here. Jessy's got an egg - a real egg. Wow, it is so exciting. We need to put it in warm water and take care about it all day long. Some day a little animal will hatch out of it. I sit here since 5 hours and nothing happens. But I swear, I could hear a silent voice calling. What can it be? In the afternoon Katrin took me to her friends from the society and I met Sibylle, Martina, Anita, Ute and Mama Helga. We had a real society session and I wrote the protocol. Unfortunately the camera had a problem so I decited to show you only 2 pictures, the others are unsharpen. Maybe it was the small light in Sibylles room or the lense of the camera was touched. But I met the sheeps outside they are very cute. We will go again to her next week, so I can show you more pictures then. NOw we have "Lunchkränzchen" online with Teddy in Denver. He tells Greetings to all of us. I will go to bed early today. The society session and watching the egg makes me sooo tired. And something else is wrong in Jessy's room. I'm not sure yet... but I think... it could be a male cow?....God that's so exciting here....
