Den Haag, The Netherlands - 13th March 2008
By: panienka
Hi there home!
Today I arrived at my new host. She lives in the Netherlands, in The Hague. When the mailman delivered me at the door, my host wasn't there. So I got delivered to another place and my host picked me up later that night. I didn't do much today, just relaxed a bit!
I've heard we're going to Warsaw next week! Wow, sounds like fun! Oh, and I've heard too that I am allowed to go to meet some new friends in Eindhoven. We're going by train!
I miss you all back home! But my journey ain't over yet
bye!
big kiss,
Yuri

The Hague, Holland - 25th March 2008
By: panienka
Hello Earth, Yuri is calling!
I AM BACK from Warsaw! You knew I would go there, that's why it has been a little quiet. But hey, I've seen some great things!
We left Thursday morning at around 7.15 by train, to the Airport in Amsterdam. Did you know it is called Schiphol?
We did the check-in at home, so we didn't have to wait too long to drop our luggage. At 9.20 we took off and about 2 hours later we were in Warsaw.
I was taken to the house of the grandmother of my host. She lives in the centre of the city, so it was easy to get out for shopping and sight seeing!
On Thursday we went shopping. First we went to Palac Kultury, the Culture Palace, which was given as a present to the Polish government. I just can't remember when it was given and by whom! sorry!
Secondly, we went to some shopping malls. Our favourite shop was Reserved!
We went to have some lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe!
Trust me, the nachos were great!
Friday, we went shopping again! Although it was Easter Friday, all the shops were normally opened! We didn't mind!
We went inside a big mall to have a coffee!
and on our way back home, we took some more photo's!
Saturday and Sunday we did some sightseeing. Shops were closed and we already did all the shopping!
This is the beginning of the Old Town, called Stare Miasto. The church you see behind me, is the church where my host's mother had ther first communion!
Next is a nice view of the Old Town!
When I sat on this old citywall, some kid said to her mother (in Polish, but my host translated it for me) "look what a cute dog!"
It was a pity that on monday it was already time to go home! I really didn't want to go, but my host and her boyfriend had to get back for work and study!
So, at the Airport they took some more photo's!
We got home today, my host promised me she'll take me out soon. But she has to get prepaired for some more things, so it might take some more days!
Hope you liked it!
Kiss,
Yuri
