Greven, Germany - 27th February 2008

The food here in Germany is very good! But I have to stay in shape to keep postage cheap and so we decided to go to the gym.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3258/2302763198_2be577234f.jpg

Unfortunately it's a bit difficult as all the training machines are sooooo huge (or our arms are just to short...)

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2043/2301968605_a9baf54fbf.jpg

but when you are creative and do teamwork you can have a lot of fun!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3285/2302775954_b692a7e220.jpg

Finally we found some exercises we can do that fit to our size!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2137/2301966319_1aefdea91d.jpg

I think this one is a bit tooooo heavy to start with...

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2358/2302766714_63338f69d6.jpg

Afterwards we were really tired and in need of some rest.

Ibbenbüren, Germany - 28th February 2008

By: Mizzery

Today we visited Martina's parents-in-law in Ibbenbüren!
We arrived in the afternoon and ready for some cake and coffee.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2092/2302777800_35034b0c8e.jpg

Unfortunately, coffee wasn't my taste so we decided to search the house and play a little.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2335/2301984353_c531c380c4.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3292/2302782286_ff95217321.jpg

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2011/2302784238_caa8bc542b.jpg

Wow, this picture on the wall is an handcraft made by Martina's father-in-law. It must have taken hours to finish!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2196/2302782664_5456a1508b.jpg

Look! I'm sitting on a really really huge bird! And I'm not scared!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2008/2301985925_b7b2f604f2.jpg

And we found this huge egg! First, I though it belongs to the huge bird I was sitting on but Martina told me that it's a souvenir from a trip to Africa.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2006/2301987261_293d1f24b7.jpg

And now I'm sitting on this huge egg!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2131/2302785160_9481137fcf.jpg

And more birds...

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3003/2301987881_b2cc2ae44f.jpg

I also had the chance to play with a really nice dog called TomTom!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2136/2301982631_96a1ce42b8.jpg

We had a lot of fun together even if it's hard to understand him do to his dialect. ( German dogs say WAU!)

Greven, Germany - 29th February 2008

By: Mizzery

Today is Ollie's birthday! And we wanted to celebrate it a little! It's the first day it doesn't rain so we spend the entire day in the garden and played hide and seek or catch me if you can!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3041/2301966929_c7732cde01.jpg

It's not yet spring but here are already a lot of flowers!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2227/2302761940_bf8e1703c2.jpg

Look mommy, if you don't know what to do with your old frying pan - just make a hole in the bottom and you can use it for your flowers!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3093/2302765646_cb32260ea2.jpg

Look, I climbed up a wall of flowers!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3105/2302771130_689c1e5e44.jpg

The flowers outside are very small...

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2395/2301974615_108120be06.jpg

But this one inside is 5 times taller than me!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3101/2302779016_d7e43fdaca.jpg

Unfortunately it's still very cold otherwise we could swim in the fountain!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2362/2302781426_545c48a5c5.jpg

I'm soooo tall that I can sit on a house!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3170/2302777184_fa4208005d.jpg

ok, it's a bird house...

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2295/2301974413_99224e490d.jpg

but the birds here are very big!

We wanted to invite these chicks to Ollie's birthday party but somehow they weren't really interested....

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3027/2301969899_0300506ecd.jpg

So in the evening we started our party without them.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2118/2302765848_e148fdb017.jpg

We had some really good food!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2241/2301973133_6894cdd2f9.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3262/2301977761_301557d01c.jpg

And this is our special birthday photo!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3270/2301976699_1d0ef41bb0.jpg

After the meal, Martina tough us how to play chess! It's a really interesting game so we played a few times!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2026/2302784558_e613b63641.jpg

In the evening I wanted to call you but stupid me, I forgot our telephone number...

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/2301975481_82f5dd2fa7.jpg

But no problem, I can show you here that I'm absolutely fine and next week I'll go on to my next host! I'm soooo curious!

Den Haag, The Netherlands - 13th March 2008

By: panienka

Hi there home!

Today I arrived at my new host. She lives in the Netherlands, in The Hague. When the mailman delivered me at the door, my host wasn't there. So I got delivered to another place and my host picked me up later that night. I didn't do much today, just relaxed a bit!

I've heard we're going to Warsaw next week! Wow, sounds like fun! Oh, and I've heard too that I am allowed to go to meet some new friends in Eindhoven. We're going by train!

I miss you all back home! But my journey ain't over yet :)

bye!
big kiss,
Yuri

Eindhoven, The Netherlands - 15th March 2008

By: panienka

Hi there!

Today was the day I was allowed to go with my host to Eindhoven. She had an appointment with some of her friends, we had dinner in Eindhoven!
First we had to go by train to her mother, to deliver some things and later we went to Eindhoven!

Here I am waiting with my host at Leiden Central Station. It was boring! But it wasn't cold at all!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/toyvoyagers/DSC00094.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/toyvoyagers/DSC00095.jpg

After a long journey in the train, we finally arrived in Eindhoven. We went to have dinner in a restaurant called "the Movies". There were a lot of girls but I wasn't shy at all! I sat on the table in between all these girls!

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/toyvoyagers/DSC00096.jpg

on of them even gave me a kiss  B)
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/toyvoyagers/DSC00097.jpg

I had to read the menu too, of course! But it was all in Dutch :( so I didn't understand it at all!

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/toyvoyagers/DSC00100.jpg

Well, and when it was time for dinner, they even gave me a knife and a fork so I could join them!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/toyvoyagers/DSC00099.jpg

Late at night we went back to The Hague, where my host lives. I stayed in her bag, I was too tired to get out!

Big kiss from Holland!
Yuri

The Hague, Holland - 25th March 2008

By: panienka

Hello Earth, Yuri is calling!

I AM BACK from Warsaw! You knew I would go there, that's why it has been a little quiet. But hey, I've seen some great things!

We left Thursday morning at around 7.15 by train, to the Airport in Amsterdam. Did you know it is called Schiphol?
We did the check-in at home, so we didn't have to wait too long to drop our luggage. At 9.20 we took off and about 2 hours later we were in Warsaw.

I was taken to the house of the grandmother of my host. She lives in the centre of the city, so it was easy to get out for shopping and sight seeing!

On Thursday we went shopping. First we went to Palac Kultury, the Culture Palace, which was given as a present to the Polish government. I just can't remember when it was given and by whom! sorry!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01693.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01762.jpg

Secondly, we went to some shopping malls. Our favourite shop was Reserved!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01694.jpg

We went to have some lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01739.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01695.jpg
Trust me, the nachos were great!

Friday, we went shopping again! Although it was Easter Friday, all the shops were normally opened! We didn't mind!

We went inside a big mall to have a coffee!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01756.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01757.jpg

and on our way back home, we took some more photo's!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01736.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01738.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01741.jpg

Saturday and Sunday we did some sightseeing. Shops were closed and we already did all the shopping!
This is the beginning of the Old Town, called Stare Miasto. The church you see behind me, is the church where my host's mother had ther first communion!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01791.jpg

Next is a nice view of the Old Town!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01804.jpg

When I sat on this old citywall, some kid said to her mother (in Polish, but my host translated it for me) "look what a cute dog!"
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01818.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01819.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01825.jpg

It was a pity that on monday it was already time to go home! I really didn't want to go, but my host and her boyfriend had to get back for work and study!
So, at the Airport they took some more photo's!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01845.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01847.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01850.jpg
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/panienka/TV%20Yuri/DSC01861.jpg

We got home today, my host promised me she'll take me out soon. But she has to get prepaired for some more things, so it might take some more days!

Hope you liked it!
Kiss,
Yuri

Cupar, Fife, Scotland - 21st April 2008

By: Ocean_Soul13

Hi Mum! I arrived in Scotland this afternoon to my new Host's house! The box I was in had broken a little, and the postman knocked on the door to deliver me to make sure I wasn't damaged going through the postbox! Wasnt that nice of him? ;)

http://i30.tinypic.com/5bp4x5.jpg

Here is me arriving...when I came out of the box, another toyvoyager who is staying here, gargouille greeted me! We helped our host make a poster for her university coursework. It was messy work, but the outcome was great! We are very proud of it!
:D
http://i25.tinypic.com/e8qsyv.jpg

http://i28.tinypic.com/14cf7yp.jpg

What do you think? Are you impressed?  B)

My host says she will be busy with things on the computer today, so gargouille and I are going to watch a movie. We are trying to decide between Death Sentence and Troy. They both look a bit gory for my tastes!
