Travelog for: Prince Charming

Wow, here I am on Toy Voyagers! 

Today I plan to go the post office with Carlissa to mail out a book, and then we will release a book for someone else to find.  I'm really looking forward to this outing!

Prince Charming went to Butterfly World in Coconut Creek, Florida today!  He was joined by several friends, both human and toy voyager.  He visited the gardens and saw lots of butterflies, parrots,  and pretty flowers.  One of his missions is to visit gardens around the world, so now he has visited his first!

I went to the Harvest Festival at Fairchild Gardens today with Carlissa & her daughter and Mumble! 

First, I went rock climbing:



Then, it started raining, so we went to the conservatory and saw lots of pretty plants and orchids.  When it stopped raining, we went to the Fruit Pavillion - here I am sitting on a bench in front of the Fruit Pavillion:



Then I got to sit on a giant mushroom:


After seeing the Fruit Pavilion, we went to the Sunken Garden.  It was very pretty and had a waterfall and a pond with some lilies and fish in it.  After that, we walked around some, and I met this really nice lady named Margory Stoneman Douglas (she wrote a book on the Everglades).  I helped Carlissa release a Bookcrossing book, Margory said she would make sure a nice person picked it up:


Then we went to look at the decorations that were at the harvest  festival - we saw lots of ghosts, witches, pumpkins, and a pirate ship!






I was getting hungry, so we went to eat lunch.  We ate at the Rainforest Cafe and I ordered the cattledrive sandwich and a soda.


After lunch, we went to a Halloween decoration-making demonstration.  A lady showed us some of the decorations that she made from palm fronds, coconuts, and other plant materials.  Here are some ghosts that she made from palm boots:


We were all tired after all the walking around the gardens, so we went home to rest.

I've been so busy meeting and greeting the visiting Toy Voyagers that I have been neglecting my Travelog!  Now I have some time, I will get busy and update!

I went to a Bookcrossing meeting tonight with Mittens and Picado.  We had dinner at Panera Bread and read some books.

I went to Emerald Acres Stables today with Billy Goat and we played on the swing!

I went to the zoo today!  I saw lots of animals and had fun, until it starting raining and had to leave.  I took some pictures, but most of them didn't turn out very good.  I did get a good picture with this lion though.

We are going on a road trip to Gainesville, Florida!  It's a long drive, about 370 miles!

It's been raining all day!  we were suppose to go for a walk in the woods, but here we are, sitting in the garage watching it rain.

We went to see Devil's Millhopper in Gainesville today!

Billy Goat, Tiger The Best, and I had to rest on this log after climbing all those stairs!

After seeing Devil's Millhopper, we went back to the grandparent's house for lunch, then we went for a walk in the woods to see the cows.

Our trip to Gainesville is over and we drove home to Miami.  We had fun visiting with the grandparents.

Ronnie N Hammie arrived yesterday!  We told them all about our trip to Gainesville, Florida. 

I treated the gang to a movie today called The Tin Man.  It's a very odd remake of The Wizard of Oz, but we liked it.

Today is Mother's Day!  We got up early to make banana pancakes for our host.

First, the gang gathered all the ingredients that we will need while I got the pan ready:


We mixed up the batter and then cooked the pancakes in a pan.  The pancakes turned out to be very delicious!
