Travelog for: Holiday Harry

Harry is now busy at work.  He has taken up lessons from his mentor and host on how to take at least casual photos with the camera and possibly learn a few techniques to directing. 

Harry has organized a few of the toys from the household of his mentor and grouped them for a photo.

Listen up all you "Wanna Be" toyvoyagers.  If you want to be a famous toyvoyager like me you must have charm, good looks like me (or at least be cute)  and have an attitude. 
You need to look good in a photo and be available for all types of casting parts.

You must love travel, getting shoved into small packages and be in the dark for days.
You must learn to smile in all situations and love those whacky humans at all times. 

Now show me some attitude and SMILE!

Awh Yes!  I am more like Dirty Harry everyday.  I love my new job.

Harry's Road Trip.

Traveling around with Budd and Nick a couple of other buddy toyvoyagers, Harry decided that he wanted to sit up front and get a full view of the surrounding areas as he rode in the American traveling machine.

Harry is the kind of chap who can be quiet one minute and the next be hanging off the traveling van windows when bordom sets in.  And this trip did get very boring viewing the same thing for hundreds of miles. 

Harry got into trouble for many things.  But what do you expect from a wild and funny monkey! 

Soon, Harry started reading the signs along the highway and asking a lot of questions to his host.  What does that mean?
Why is that sign there and what does a passing lane mean? 

Often Harry got ignored.  He never seems to stop with his monkey chatter.  So he just stared out the window being mesmerized by the road lines. 

Harry fell asleep part of the way on his road trip so his friends got in more photos than he did.  Harry mentioned if you want to see more of the trip you can view it on the page for Budd.  There you will see more of the interesting road adventure and more little towns that he slept through.

But Harry still had a good time.  He enjoyed harrassing his friends while they tried to sleep.

Harry thought about making these traveling scenes into his movie parts but then --- he lost interest.  Quickly---like most monkeys---he started doing something else.

His host promised that soon there was going to be something fun to see.  So he waited and waited and still there were more hills and valleys.

Just as Harry was ready to escape from the window he saw something ahead that seem like it might be a fun place to stop for awhile. 

Here in the middle of the desert was a "SHOE TREE" standing all alone holding up it's branches with hundreds of shoes all over the tree.

Oh dear---Harry jumped all around viewing this funny tree.
What a fun thing to do!      Again with the chatter. 
At least Harry was excited about something. 

He wanted desperately to jump into the tree and go WILD.  But his host maintained him so that he could not make that leap. 

Harry didn't realize that this is no place to hang out.  There are very cold winters here and that is something a monkey just can't stand much of----all that cold. 

Harry got back into the car to venture onward down the road to the next town.

The next town was Vale, Oregon.  Here this tiny town is known for being a farming community where they grow an abundance of onions, corn and potatoes. 
Harry could care less as to what was grown here---he didn't see a banana in the whole town. 

But what did catch Harry's eye was all the wall murals.
The town is also known for having more wall murals in one little space than any other town in Oregon.

Vale is also known for being on the map where the pioneers traveled while heading along the Oregon Trail through the Northwest. 
At least this caught Harry's attention for awhile.

Fortunately the next town was just another hour away.  Harry was going whacko in the car.  400 miles is a long ride for any monkey.

We arrived just in time for visiting an air show in Fruitland, Idaho.  Harry had never been to Idaho and certainly never to an air show.

Harry enjoyed walking around with his host and viewing all the planes.  He wanted most to go up in one of the planes but that was not going to happen.  At least not on this trip.

Fortunately the whole show held Harry's attention for awhile.  It gave him more ideas for adventure.  He has not been on a jet plane traveling with humans yet and he is planning now for that next voyage. 

Harry wanted to show you that he traveled from one side of the state to the other --- there and back --- boring as it was and rode just over 800 miles round trip.

That's a long road trip for Harry.

When Harry got back from his road trip he ran into an old friend that he has not seen for a very long time.  Jelly was here waiting for him to give him a hug. 

Harry and Jelly have become great friends and Harry is trying to talk Jelly into taking a few road trips away from home.
Harry likes hanging out with Jelly in her favorite tree in the garden and they can talk about great plans of travel there.

Jelly still isn't sure if she wants to travel.  One day she does not want to leave home and the next when she hears of some of the stories the toyvoyagers tell, she again is certain she would love to travel----especially if Harry is there too.

While Harry's host was working in the garden earlier today, Harry slipped off and went back to the office. 
Harry is always missing and playing games with his host so she didn't worry about what he was doing right now.  She knew he would be around just in time for meals.

Then she thought she better check up on Harry.  There he was, working hard and fast to put a photo up on the computer in his journal page to his favorite site.

His host was just a bit curious and wanted to see what Harry had done.
Right there before her eyes in Harry's journal was Harry holding a sign.  Now she thought, that is one cheeky monkey. 

If anyone knows of how Harry can get to Hawaii please do let us know.  Harry is bound and determined to find a ride to Hawaii so we might as well help him out.

While Harry has been hanging out here for the past month he has been planning his own birthday party. 

Since it doesn't look like he is going to get to Hawaii anytime soon he decided to make the best of it here.

Harry was allowed to plan the party and invite a few guests.  Something one must never do for a monkey.  Never let them plan their own party as you never know what will happen.

Before he knew it the party got out of hand.  Soon they ate one whole banana cake and then they over indulged in all the free bananas.  Before long they were all drunk on banana juice and the smell of bananas.
Everyone in the party did have a good time but soon they passed out from being full of bananas.

Soon Harry will make plans for the Halloween party.  But someone told him---he won't be in charge of the whole thing.  He will get help with that party. 

Harry's Halloween party went pretty good for all his guests.
Everyone came from all over the world to join in with him in the silly games he chose to play at the party and it seems everyone had fun.

Harry especially liked this guessing game.  Everyone had to guess who the other was in their costumes. 
Everyone knew it was Harry though by the way he laughs that silly monkey laugh.

Harry thought he knew who was in the little pumpkin because he kept looking at those eyes.  He knew those eyes.
The little pumpkin never said a word and Harry said,  I will take my mask off if you will do the same. 

The little pumpkin never moved and only teased Harry by staying in his little pumpkin.
Soon Harry realized it is his friend Bongo.  They both had a good laugh over that one. He missed his little friend and was so glad that he could come to the party.

Harry was loosing his mind when it came to "Dunk for the Jelly Beans" game.  Everyone wanted to try but Harry and BobbyJack, Palmito (Captain P) and the baby dino Galen kept hogging in the beans.

Although Harry could not get even one bean through his mask he kept trying.  That's why we call Harry a real GOOF!

Harry enjoyed watching his guests from above and checking things out.  He is glad he can climb so well.

Harry joined in when the "Marshmellow"  game began.  You had try and pick up a marshmellow with your toes.
Harry knew that even through the costume he could do this game.
