By: Tess
Cindy is on her way to her first host as we speak.
She is traveling in a little box to make her comfy...and was mailed out on June 25 (today)
Before she and one of her friends left we made a groups photo..to show they are all eager to travel.
I know Germany is a nice start for her and she will find loving home.
Boy Voyage Cindy

Hurray!!!! I arrived today and met a lot of other toyvoyagers here already. I'm curious to see more, but at first I'm tired and need a little sleep.
Sabrina doll loved the shoes, that I brought as a present. And you maybe don't believe it, but she wore them at once. Thank you for the present.
One mission is completed already: Bringing joy to the host and coming with a present

Wow, is it hot here! Today I jumped in the pool - okay, a very very very small pool and I had to sit outside and watch the kids playing in the water, nevertheless I was so happy. Of course I needed to undress me, because all these clothes were much too warm. I ate some water melon and drank some iced chocolate
I watched a bumblebee on the summer lilac and saw some other flowers in my favorite colour: pink.

I was at my hosts school today. She showed me the silk paintings of her pupils. They had project days at school. I like these paintings, maybe I will try it myself one day. Can you believe, that those girls, who painted this pictures are only 10 or 11 years old?

On my last day here in Bruchsal we had a big sightseeing tour, because the weather was sunny, but rather cold although it is summer. I was happy to have all these clothes with me.
1. First you see some views over Bruchsal. The big tower behind me is the tower of the old castle and on the right side you see the tower of the Stadtkirche "city church"
2. Here you see the baroque church St.Peter, which is rather close to where my hosts live.
3. On this photo you see the old and new part of the older peoples house, just close behind me and on the left side. The grey building far on the left is the grammar school St. Paulusheim, where my hosts children go to.
4. and 5. Next to the place we made these photos is a nice park with the Belvedere - a baroque hunting lodge.
6. This is a part of another grammar school.
7. My host told me, that she was on this playground very often, when the kids were younger, but they had changed some toys there.

Then we visited the big area of the baroque palace. It has many beautiful buildings.
1. the mainbuilding
2. the church and the church tower behind the building. (This is the church my hosts go to visit the service on Sundays)
3. the gate Damianstor
4. a sundial
5. All children of my hosts went to this Grundschule, so they call the school, that pupils join after kindergarten from age 6 to 10.
6. Do you see the chestnuts? There are many many chestnut trees here in the palace garden.
7. another playground, which belongs to the palace garden, Sabrina still goes there to play sometimes
8. Most children love to feed the ducks in the pond, which belongs to the palace garden
9. and 10. I saw many statues in the garden and my host told me, that there are four, which show the seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter and four which show the elements fire, water, air and earth (ground). You see the element fire here.
11. I had been able to pick a chestnut, but it isn't ripe, nevertheless I love this photo.

The hill we were is called "Michaelsberg", but it is no "berg", which means "mountain" in English. It is a nature reserve area and I hoped to see some butterflies, but we had no luck. But I saw a lot of different flowers.
Next to the Rhinevalley is the "Kraichgauer Hügelland" Kraichgau "hill-country". It's not easy to take a photo to show, how it looks like, but I think, you can see it here.

Büchenau, Germany - 30th July 2007
By: fam-united
We also drove through Büchenau, which is a suburb of Bruchsal just like Untergrombach, Obergrombach, Heidelsheim and Helmsheim. Did I tell you, that Bruchsal has about 42 000 inhabitants? Of course together with the suburbs, but without there are still more than 27 000 people living in Bruchsal. Right now there is a big scouts event here in Bruchsal and we thought, that we could visit it, but we had such a bad weather yesterday, that we ha no chance to do so.

1. and 2. Do you think, that I completed another mission? I think I did today after we took this photo with me and this wonderful rose, that grows in the garden of my hosts. We took the other photo with flowers next to St.Peter.
Second mission completed: find pretty flowers
3. and 4. the baroque church St. Peter
St. Peter is the church that is next to the graveyard and Petra told me, that normally she saw a lot of squirells there, but not this time
5. and the house Sancta Maria
6. - 9.And we took some more photos with views over Bruchsal. I hope you like it.
10. and 11. This is the street next to the house of my hosts. Their garden is behind that tree you can see here. You see that tree also on the photo of their (rent) house. You can see also the garage and a part of their car.
12. Then HolidayHarry and I said good bye to all other toyvoyagers and to our hosts, because we start our travel Farminton, USA. I hope, we will be there soon, because the box is rather small, but I'm happy, that I'm not alone.
Good bye, Ballet Cindy. We wish you a wonderful time on your journey. Thank you for the joy you brought to us and thank you for the present.
