Toulouse, France - 24th May 2018
By: Natalina
Hi Mom,
As you can see, the trip went well, although I was a little scared for this first solo getaway.
I arrived safely in France where I was eagerly awaited...
Natalina offered me a good beer to quench my thirst.
And she had made a special cherry cake for me. A clafoutis, it's called... Hum... that's delicious!
Later, in the evening, nice friends came and we watched an old film all together.
I'm sure I'm not going to be bored here...
Lots of Love

Hi Mom,
Today, I went to a crêperie and I tried the Breton galette with seasonal vegetables. As you can see, it was beautifully presented.
The cider gave me a little head spin.
Then, I went to the José Cabanis Media Library, a modern building with a particular architecture, which is a real paradise for book lovers.
I really had a good time in this beautiful place and discovered lots of interesting things.
Love

Hi Mom,
Today in France, it was Mother's Day. Of course, I had a thought for you ❤️
In the afternoon, I went to the neighbourhood flea market.
There were all kinds of things and a lot of people.
When you think that some people sell their old soft toys, I'm shaking in my boots...
But some of them are lucky to be adopted, like this giant cook.
Then, I visited the Language Forum. It was very fun!
I think I'm gonna learn Russian, French, Italian and maybe Occitan (old language of this region).
Hope you had a nice Sunday too!
Lots of love

Toulouse, France - 31st May 2018
By: Natalina
Hello Mom,
Recently, a new friend arrived at Natalina's house. It's a cute little mouse called UrselHH. We make a great team together!
We have more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
We visited an exhibition on Italian emigration (very informative) and I learned a whole bunch of stuffs : spaghetti, opera, Vespa, tombola, tralali tralala...
There was a nice portrait of Garibaldi, a soldier who contributed to Italian unification.
Then, we went outside the city for an organic picnic. There was an extensive buffet with various kind of food. It was quite amusing.
Lots of love from your little Theo

Toulouse, France - 3rd June 2018
By: Natalina
Hello Mum,
On this Sunday, we took advantage of a short lull in the rain, to go for a walk in the city.
First, a little immersion in nature, in the garden of the former cloister of the Chatreux (in ruins, but soon in restoration). It is next to the University of Social Sciences...
In the street, there is a giant photo of singer Claude Nougaro, you know, the one who sings "Ohooooo Toulouuuuuuse" (he was born here).
Then, with UrselHH, we strolled on the banks of the Garonne river and the Quai de la Daurade.
Finally, we visited the church of Jacobins, where there was a nice exhibition on the paths of Saint Jacques de Compostela.
We went back home for tea time, very tired. But Natalina offered us nonnettes (gingerbread cookies with orange marmalade inside). I loved that!
Lots of kisses
Your little Theo 🦁

Toulouse, France - 10th June 2018
By: Natalina
Hi Mom,
For my last weekend in Toulouse, we've been lucky to have an acceptable weather.
I visited the famous Basilica of St. Sernin, which is the largest Romanesque church in Europe and the Capitole which houses the town hall. The wedding hall is beautiful. There are sculptures and paintings everywhere. I posed on the bust of Jean Jaurès, who was a city councilor and Deputy Mayor in this building.
Behind the Town Hall, you can see the Dungeon of the Capitole, which housed in the past the City Archives and the reserve of gunpowder (in prevention of an invasion of Languedoc).
Nowadays, it's the Tourist Office ....
Toulouse is definitely a beautiful city, full of treasures to discover ...
Hugs and love

Hi Mom!
I made it to Florida! I got here just before a big thunderstorm hit and now it's raining, and lightening, and thundering! But it's nice and dry inside the house.
Theodore and Frankenstein are here to greet me. They live here with my new host. They were Toy Voyagers a long time ago, and they both traveled the world and had wonderful adventures! Since it is raining today, they are going to tell me all about their travels.

After going to the gardens, we came back to my host's home and had a snack. We had Baked Scotch egg, an avocado, and some Florida orange juice.
