GC14N3H - Triglav, Slovenia - 28th July 2014
By: HighSpeedKäscher
After having passed two weeks expecting to finish the rain "season" we finally had the chance to climb up to the Triglav. Together with millions of others. We and Brutus stood (and sat) on the top enjoying the view and the feeling. And so many people were here - including a guy who carried cans of beverages up here. Magnificient!!!
At the end of the day we will have needed almost five and a half hours from Dom Plannika to Triglav and back but we didn't want to have missed not a single minute.
One warning we do have: Dom Planika offers perfect beds but they don't have any washing facilities - not even a simple sink. Personal hygiene: nil return. So we went down directly from Triglav and enjoyed the experience at the Lake Bohinj again together with a warm shower.
Greetings from Slovenia,
HighSpeedKäscher
P.S.: Unfortunately no picture with Brutus was worth to be uploaded. All overexposed - so we upload an impression of the trip.

At this place Brutus found another place to remember. Two German soldiers died here during the very last days of the war protecting a child from american bombers....

GC3R9RG - Feuerwehr Bishausen, Germany - 24th December 2014
By: HighSpeedKäscher
Brutus sends (and so we do, too,) Merry Christmas to US!!
We enjoyed his companionship as always and he prepares to cross the Alps in a near future. We won't pass by car but we will fly above them. We didn't tell Brutus the destination so we guess it will be a nice surprise for him.
Greetings from Germany,
HighSpeedKäscher

GC4RAP1 - Volpaia, Italy - 1st January 2015
By: HighSpeedKäscher
Happy New Year!
Since many years we visit Volpaia each time we have the chance to spend some days in Toscany. It is just a small village we usually enter via the earth road coming from north. It is Toscany at its best with good wine and good food. This time we had both and in addition a geocache at a place we would never have figured out without geocaching. 500m from the village there is a chapel which surely might claim to be a "lost place". We dropped two TBs there but for sure not Brutus.
