Hi everyone,
I'm so excited on being a ToyVoyager.
My name is Belle, an Blythe figure by origin.
My mummy adopted me on eBay in 2008. Since then, i've been living with her in a cosy penthouse in cosmopolitan Singapore, a small island country in S.E.Asia. This is where we are on the map below.
It poured heavily this afternoon after weeks of hot & humid weather.
Rainy days make me happy, love the sound & smell of rain. Wish it rains more often here.
Come, let's go upstairs for some cool air, the kind of fresh air i like after a rain.

Yoohoo...Rise and Shine, it's Monday.
Oh come on, let's be positive...Monday Blues?
Nope, it's gonna be a great week.
Yeah, let's start with some healthy breakfast.
I always enjoy breakfast time with mummy,
we talk about our schedules for the day and motivate & propel one another onward.
Mommy came back especially early in the afternoon with a big surprise for me.
I am totally in awe, still feels like i'm dreaming.
She bought me a new house and it's in my favourite white, oh my my!
It's still empty right now, we gonna furnish it in the following days.
We managed to shift my sewing machine into the new house for the time being.
I wanna sew something for my dearest mummy as a thank you token.
So while mummy is out again, i quickly grab the scissor and start working on it.
I hope to finish it in the next few days.

I'm gonna show you the food i ate today.
In the morning, i had a bowl of Soya Bean Curd Pudding (more commonly known as 'tow huay' here). It's usually served with clear sugar syrup. Well, I've a sweet tooth, so i like it in Hong Kong style, topped with red sugar.
For lunch, Mummy and i went to a hawker center just 3mins by car from our house.
We always eat from this stall which serves chewy and fresh Fish Balls.
A dish common in local hawker stalls here, fish balls are served with noodles like flat rice noodle & vermicelli and savory soup as seen here.
In Singapore, Yellowtail fish is most commonly used to make the fish paste into fish balls.
It's teatime!
These are bite sized snack known as Nyonya Kueh here.
It is more often steamed than baked, and thus very different in texture, flavour and appearance from Western cakes or puff pastries.
Many kueh are sweet, but some are savoury.
A brief introduction to the selection of Nyonya Kueh here :
* Kueh Talam (the white & green one) : The top white layer is made from rice flour and coconut milk, while the bottom green layer is made from green pea flour and extract of pandan leaf.
* Kueh Lapis (the colourful one) : A rich kueh consisting of thin alternating layers made of butter, eggs and sugar, piled on top of each other. Each layer is laid down and baked separately, making the creation of a kueh lapis an extremely laborious and time-consuming process.
* Kueh Ko Swee (the brown ones with grated coconut) : Made from rice flour, tapioca flour and brown sugar, steamed and coated with grated fresh coconut.
* Indonesian Kueh Lapis Legit (the layered cake with prune) : This kueh is baked instead of steam with an insanely unhealthy amount of butter and egg yolks (to make this kueh in a 20cm x 20cm size tray, you will need about 40 egg yolks !!!)
Cheers to you...with love from Singapore.

Hello everyone,
It's been a few days since my last update.
Mummy has been crazily busy with work for the past week.
As for me, I've been taking care of the house and lazing around, watching Korean dramas.
I must admit that I've become pretty hooked on Korean dramas these days. Its story line is so enticing to keep me watching and watching and watching......
and yes it's very funny and the actors are amazingly hot.
On most days, the weather here is so hot and humid that it can get quite unbearable for me.
During those days, I love to get under the shower to just cool myself.
Yes, it's eternal summer here in Singapore.
Sometimes i do sneak into the fridge for awhile too.
You got to remember, i'm made of plastic, so i don't take heat very well
Oh, remember the house mummy bought me last week and i said i wanna sew her something as a token of gratitude?
Tadaa, I finally completed it! A clasp purse painstaking sewn by me.
I'm gonna surprise mummy with it tonight. I'm sure she will be thrilled.

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival (also known as Duān Wǔ Jié or simply the 'Dumpling' Festival).
People across China and around the world celebrate Dragon Boat Festival today.
In China, it's an official holiday, this annual event means three days off work and school for hundreds of millions of Chinese, culminating in celebrations and dragon boat races.
Sadly, it's not a holiday here in Singapore.
But traditionally, local Chinese here still celebrates by eating rice dumplings (Zong Zi).
This is a Chinese festivity tracing its origins to Southern China, falling on the fifth day of the fifth month around the Summer Solstice, involving boat races and rice dumplings.
The festivity evolved from the practice of revering the River Dragon, to what later became a festival to commemorate Qu Yuan, a third century poet and political figure of the State of Chu.
U may read more on Dragon Boat Festival by clicking on this link
Rice dumplings (Zong Zi) —
are made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves.
They are cooked by boiling.
Mummy doesn't have the time to make dumplings, these were given by the kind neighbour next door.
My favourite dumplings is this plain sweet one, best eaten with sugar.
