Remscheid, Germany - 5th October 2013
By: mcdaniels
In the morning we started to my first hostmum Strunki
Cause I don't want to travel in an envelope mum accompanied me and my friends to Remscheid where I'll stay with HelmutBluepant and Charlotte
We were welcomed very warmly by Gozer, Elmar, Hase and Laika and of course by Strunki.
And we weren't the only guests: olgamaus came as well with her TV-guests, it was fantastic!!! So I got to know KoalaMimi, Rocky Raccoon, OleOrangescarf, Kirin, Tsukumo, nosyblue and Lamikins It was fantastic!!!
Hase came with presents for each of us, yummy chocolate, a candle, a lolly and a scarf, isn't it cool?
After eating the yummy meal Strunki and her guests had cooked for us we went into a garden and built up the greatest ToyVoyager-polonaise you've ever seen
And then the world's best party began...
Hours later mum had to drive home again so I had to say goodbye to her, The WotWots, UrselHH and Sargent Froggo
And now I'm looking forward for my adventures!
Love you all yours *Nick*

Solingen/Remscheid around Müngsten, Germany - 12th October 2013
By: Strunki
Hello Mum,
today we made a little trip around and under the Müngstener Brücke, the oldest and highest Railwaybridge in Germany.
Here we start over a small bridge over the Wupper and You can see the Diederichstempel
Here You have the first impression of this huge building
We found one in plushie-size, the complete area of the Wupper-valley around the bridge on an bronce-table
Here we are directly under the construction, it is soo huge and impressive...
That stone remembers, how old the bridge is.... The German emperor Kaiser Wilhelm visited Müngsten in 1899
Here is a good view
But now we left the bridge behind us for taking a walk through the nice autum forest on the footpath next to the Wupper
Here I found a fly agaric [Amanita muscaria]
But don´t worry mum, I did not want to taste it in the way the old Wikings did in the middle age... Helmut wanted, but Lotte, the old spoilsport didn´t allow it...
Here at this interesting stone with handprints carved in we rested
and met the guests of olgamaus, Tsukumo, KoalaMimi, Rocky Raccoon and her newest guest, RSG Leo
Here we are at the place called Wiesenkotten. There is a bridge and we change the riverside
Helmut and me
There we hiked on the way back
and came to this beautyful landscape
A few meters away we are under the bridge again, only much more higher and on the other side
Now we reach the Diederichstempel
And have the last nice view on the bridge from there before we enjoyed the hospitality of olgamaus with koffee and the typical Bergisch rusk
That´s it for today Mum,
love and hug You
Yours very good boy
*Nick*

W-Cronenberg, Arboretum, Germany - 20th October 2013
By: Strunki
after a short drive we reached the Arboretum Burgholz, an forestal area with lots of trees from all over the world, similar to a botanical garden, but much more larger
Here we found a nice blooming spindle tree [Euonymus europaeus]
This is the beginning of of the main path
From this point You have a beautiful view on the landscape
Here we made a short break and I met my brother, Frederik, who is guest of Olgamaus
Oh, how nice to meet You here, little brother, You look great
After a while enjoying the landscape we went on deeper into the forest and saw a lot of sequoia trees
See me playing in the tree
Later on the ground we found a lot of mushrooms, but we know too less about them, but some look very yummy
Perhaps we should ask HoBi, wich are eatable
At last we admired the giant sequoia trees, they are still very young there in the arboretum, but very huge
That was it for the weekend,
see You soon and love You, mum
Yours
*Nick*

Remscheid-Hasten, Germany - 26th October 2013
By: Strunki
Hi mum,
today its almost a nice autumnday and olgamaus invited us to accompany her and her guests Kirin, Rocky Raccoon and Frederik to a little trip in and around Hasten
Here You see the most significant Building near to the main place, a house with a round tower
We start in Büchel, where a lot of old and typical Bergisch half-timbered houses with slate fronts and green shutters are
It´s a very quiet and peaceful area here where You also can find some nice details at the houses
Look at this paintings in the backround
In the near we met a cat
some cool pumpkins
and a dog
After a while walking down to the valley of the Morsbach we reached Clemenshammer, but we didn´t stay there
Also there very impressive houses
Following the small river Morsbach, we found this huge rock with a nice poem carved in
Can You read it?
" A little shower only
She lured him
under the umbrella
tears of joy"
Then, after reaching a place called Gerstau, we met some friendly sheep
And came back into the forest again
Here we learned from a sign, that this place was used in older times to guard sheep and that the people used the forest to burn charcoal
a meadow with some more sheep and a horse
Coming out of the forest we saw an old smithy
Here we are at a small hammer-lake
See me and my best friend HelmutBluepant
I love the autum colours of the leafs
A really nice small house again
And here I am in front of the \"Haus Cleff\", a part of the Historical Centre
Near to the point from we started, we reach our last station, the church of Hasten, the "Pauluskirche"
What a nice walk for today
Love and kiss You mummy
Yours
*Nick*

Strunkis Office, Germany - 31st October 2013
By: Strunki
Hi mum,
today I informed me about strunkis work at her office
One of her longest collegues, a snake called "Bong" I met there
He´s friendly, but often totally in another world....
Some old newspaper-article about a cow that disappeared some years ago..
...even strunki wasn´t able to tell me why they still hang there...
A lot of funny postcards I saw on the wall
And a nice picture of a young dog
See me studying a large map of the Dolomites
And us having a meeting with other important clerks here
Then it was noon, time for lunch
And having a little chill-out-break inbetween the old Christmas cactus [Schlumbergera]
But at work, especially in an office, You are not allowed to be lazy
See me creating the newest sports: Office-punch-jumping
Perfect: My landing in the famous ear-stand
My next task: checking the copier...
Yes, functions satisfying...
Woow, now it´s home time!
Working at the office is very thrilling, exciting and I love it
That´s it from the office, now lets hurry up home for the most incredible halloween-party the plushie world has ever seen
Love You, Mum
Yours
*Nick*
