Good evening Mama,

we just came home (pretty late for a work day). But it was worth it. Cause we went to the outdoor Christmas fair in Frankfurt.
So much Food and so many People everywhere. You can buy all kinds of presents there. And everything is illuminated so nicely.

The blurry photos are meant to be that way. Hostmums says it's art.

Hey Moma,

we spent all of last weekend in the federal state of Saxony (host mum lives in the federal state of Hesse).Early Saturday morning we took the highspeed InterCityExpress train to the city of Dresden. First we visited a friend and then went to the Christmas market. The one in Dresden is probably the most famous one in all Germany. It even has an own name: It’s called “Striezelmarkt”.
It is really beautiful and it’s spread all over town. Dresden itself is very beautiful. Lots of old and historic buildings. The most famous ones are the Frauenkirche (a church) and the Semperoper (opera).
After more than four hours of sightseeing an Christmas market, it was time to go back to the hotel. Cause we all were so tired.

Hey Mum,

on Sunday we traveled on from Dresden to the city of Leipzig (which is also in the federal State of Saxony).
Leipzig is famous for its boys’ choir called the “Thomanerchor”

Of course we had to see the Christmas fair in Leipzig.  But we also did a bunch of sightseeing. Lots of interesting houses…

What a stressful weekend.
But I loved all the places I got to see.

Mommy, Mommy, Mommy,

yesterday hostmum took me on a day trip to do something super duper special.
I got to fulfill a part of one of my lifemissions. 

We went to the City of Düsseldorf.... Do you know what is so special about it? The river rhine is there! 
I am so happy that I got to see it.

To be continued...

From Duesseldorf we traveled on to the city of Cologne.
Where I got to see some more of river Rhine.
We walked across the Hohenzollern bridge and back. Then I got to see the very famous catherdral of cologne inside and out.

What a super nice day.

Merry Christmas.

Hope you are doing well.

Tuesday we had a wonderful Christmas evening at Susie’s moms house. There was no tree, so we had to put up the presents at the sofa. 
But before everyone got a present we had dinner at a nicely decorated table.
Pumpkin soup, turkeyroast and baked apples with cinnamon.
Yummy yumm.

That was a very romantic christmas eve. 

Hey Mammi,

last Thursday the weather wasn’t very nice. But hostmum wanted to go for a walk anyway.
“Before we get to lazy and fat “ after the christmas holidays she said.

First we got to see the Schloss (castle) Phillipsruhe in the city of Hanau.
Start of the construction works was in 1701 initiated by the earl of Hanau.

...

… from there we continued our march in the rain to another castle. The one is called Wilhelmsbad.
In the park that is by the castle a mineral spring was discovered in 1709. Unfortunately it is dried out by now.

But after that it was time to go back home cause we were soaking wet.
