Today we are back in the UK for a few days before heading back to Australia.  We had a last walk along the sea front.

Hello!!

Here we are our first day in Canberra


here I am outside the War Memorial museum, looking down Anzac Parade to the Parliament Buildings with the huge flag on top.



this is the War Memorial Museum


this is a lovely memorial to soldiers and their dogs



this is a special Australia and New Zealand memorial and represents the handle of a basket



now I am by Lake Burley Griffin looking back to the parliament buildings.




we found some wonderful poppies in the gardens by the lake.

Hi Mum,

Today we have been on the tourist hop on and off bus having a look around Canberra...our first stop was Parliament house



In the grand hall is a huge tapestry


Here is where the Senate meets



Now I am on the roof!!


And this is where the House of Reps meet



Later we went to the Science museum and played some music


Back at the motel we found a statue of a giant galah which is a very pretty parrot



Heading home tomorrow Mum

we are back in Victoria and today are heading off for a walk on the beach after being at sewing group

Today we have been to Torquay to look for a geacache or three!!





we found the seal but not the cache!

On our way back from Torquay we stopped in at Breamlea to have a look around.

we found an old gun emplacement left from the war days, it has slid down the sand bank

We have been to Port today for a sewing day, we stopped to spend some time at the beach on the way home

We have been on holiday to Cambodia, we saw some amazing temples, but it was very hot and humid!!
