Hello Mum,

today it was not sunny enough for the beach so we decided to go on the market


It´s a nice and colourful market with lots of local products

Here are the greengrocers


and there You get some nice fruits

Here is the fish


A lot of cheese


Meat and sausages from the butcher


But not only groceries You find here

Flags, kites, windbells and

sheep...o.k., no real ones

Flowers and plants


But what do we want to buy on the market? After a first view we decided to buy some apples

this fruit market stall looks very nice

Our next walk lead us to the old church of Büsum, St. Clemens

In a small park sat this kind person, it is the statue of Neocorus, he was one of the first pastors of Büsum and wrote a Chronicle about the Dithmarschen

We went inside and found a very nice and interesting interiour

What an impressive pulpit

Wonderful old curchwindows and the altar


And a ship from the ceiling


Outside we found this nice building, the old mailstation


There we had typical tea with milk and rock candy



On our way to the promenade we found this thatched-roof house

Its very new builded

At the promenade waited a suprise: They rebuild the dykes and the old beach is closed at this season




O.K., let´s see what we will find in Heide

At next we visited Heide, the hugest town in the near

Here is the old curch, but unfortenatuly it was closed


A nice fountain with St. Georg on the top


A large pedestrian zone with many nice shops



But we came to Heide for antother reason, a very special plant nursery

And here we are


This nursery shows its attractions not on the first view, its a little bit hided

A café is there as well

Rare plants You can find outside there


or inside the huge warmhouse with a huge figtree in the centre

and wonderful roses

Even some chicken we met, but there ar not fo sale

At least, the sheep outside and next to an old farmers garden

What a wonderful and peaceful place

Theese were our tours for today, we hope that the sun will shine tomorrow so we plan going to the beach again

Hi Mum,

today the weather is fine enough again for going to the naturist beach in front of the dyke.


There we enjoy the landscape

Look what we found in a dustbin


A large piece of thin cloth and a bag with rods

We take it with us and try what it could be


Then we build it up


Ready!

That looks great

It´s a beachshelter

We have a lot of fun inside


and outside





In the afternoon we left the beach and met some sheep, even small lambs

Hello Mum,

today is our last day in Büsum

But You don´t guess what we were able to do, because the wind was optimale for this: We did plushie-kiting

Do You remember the kite we found in St.-Peter-Ording?

We built it up



At first I was not sure, but Helmut gave me an instruction during the tandem together with him









That was the greatest I ever did

But now I want to start a second time on my own









I love it

What do You think, could we do this again at home?

That was our last and nicest adeventure here at the North Sea

Hello Mum,

this is my last evening in Büsum and we wanted to celebrate this with some nice photos of the sundown we watched here, when the evening sky is clear enough to see the sun going down into the sea.



So only enjoy the following pics without any large comments and feel, how great our time here was when You look into our deep relaxed faces

Hi Mum,

today was a very specail day with two events: We visited Sülfeld




There we brought TobiHH back to his home to RikeH and we picked up Gozer


All plushies there gave us a warm welcome

Wooow, Dicker Kumpel welcomes me

And this is his girlfriend Kleine Fee


Then it was time for some yummy sweets



What a great tv-meeting, we talked a lot and had much fun hearing the stories






Here I talk to Gozer, he will come with us


Then it was time to say good bye to TobiHH

Hi Mum,

today we made a little walk through the pedestrian zone of Wuppertal-Barmen

Here we start at the beginning. Behind me You can see a station in old style of the suspension railway (Schwebebahn), but in the holidays it doesn´t drive, because of the huge renovation that lasts almost 10 years for the whole railway...


One of the nicer pre-war buildings there. A lot of houses were destroyed in WWII and the houses they built up after it, are only functional, but not very nice...


This is the formerly "Hall of fame" , built at the end of the 19th. century. Now its "the house of the youth" and sometimes bands playing there.


Here we play with 3 huge bronce turtles. They have their home in the pedestrian zone and are very popular, almost by the kids who want to sit on them.


This is the town-hall of barmen, built in the late 20ths of the 20th century


And bronce-animals again, but much older, here as colums of large lanterns


Here we sit on the basic of one of them


And we met "Tuffi"

He is very famous here, in the 50ths he jumped out of the suspension railway and fell into the Wupper. Nothing seriously happend to him

Hi Mum,

today we were witness of a very rare spactacle: Another selenicereus grandiflorus opens his blossom tonight and we watched it in the garden

This is the half open blossom at about 21:00



And here half an hour later



The blossom is almost open at about 22:00




Now at about 23:00 the blossom is fully open


What a great event


And this is the closed and faded blossom in the next morning.

Hi Mum,

today it was soo hot and we were glad when a parcel with wonderful contents arrived us. O.K., it was Strunkis parcel, with beautiful gifts from RikeH, but she allowed us to open it

What would be in there??
Lotte got ab alarm clock

Then the main suprise followed: A bathtube in Plushiesize!!!




And even for us were enough lollipops


Everybody of us marvelled about the nice presents

Helmut got a small package, a magic towel with a piglet on


Then it was time for trying the bathtube. My first bath in my life

I was a little afraid and so the brave Mefito helped me to enjoy it

wooow...absolutely great feeling

Then it was time to go out of the bath and we got some towels to dry

Having a bath is great and big fun

Hi Mum,

today I had to say good bye to my friends here in Remscheid

We all were a little bit sad, because I had so much fun with them, but I also look forward to travel on to Uchte.

Here is HelmutBluepant when he said good bye to me

He gave me some chocolate for my journey, because he knows that for a little pig it is better to have something to eat during the journey

And he gave me big hug

Good bye, Helmut, I will miss You, You helped me with one of my life-missions

The next was Gozer

He also gave me some yummy choc

And he gave me also a big hug, he´s a very nice bear

Charlotte, she was always nice and like a big sister for me

I will miss You, too


And last but not least, Mefito

We had a short, but very nice time together

And we hugged

And hugged

And hugged for a very long time and promised each other that we will meet again

He gave me not only a hug, but a little kiss

So I jumped into my envelope and we all waved a last good bye

It was nice being here but now its time for me to travel on

Hello Mum,

today the rumbling and moving outside my envelope finally stopped.

I could hear voices outside and then my envelope was opened, but not much light got in because I was looking into 3 unknown faces.



They introduced themselves as *-Cookie-*, Lieselotte and Henri my new host's own toyvoyagers. They all looked very curious but friendly. So I came slowly out of my envelope.



They indeed were friendly and gave me welcome hug.



As neither of them had travelled very far yet and only heard occasionally from the original Cookie, they asked me about my adventures at once.

And because story-telling is so much more fun with sweets I shared the chocolates (Thank you, Strunki! ) with them and started talking. Strunki had even put a treasure map in the envelope with me. So I told them all of my adventures in the Bergisch Land and beyond.



Mum, I'm exited to go on new adventures around here! Today it is raining, but my new host, Katharina, said we'll go out in the next days and have a look around.

Hello Mum!

Today I went on a little walk around Uchte - or more precisely the neighbourhood around the retirement home and the industrial area.

But first we had to send 2 postcards and then we posed on the mailbox. *oink*



Here you can see one of many construction sites:



They are building a second apartment house. The one on the right was built last year and construction on the left one started this year in spring.

On one of the meadows behind the retirement home we saw some goats. Two came running to have their pisture taken with us. *oink*



Around the corner we saw a huge blackberry bush. Look, at the moment the berries are as pink as I am! *oink*



After some more steps we saw another construction site:



Here the buildings belonging to the agricultural cooperative society and the freight depot had been pulled down after a big part of them were burnt in a fire earlier this year.

A little way down the street we posed on a street blockade in front of one of the many corn fields.

Also we have all been wondering what the street signs are supposed to mean. "Please only crash here" maybe?

At the end of the street we saw a field full a solar panels.

On our way back home we found this lovely pear tree hanging very full with fruits.

Where one of the little streets is today there were many little garden plots. The street was built when Katharina was little so she remembers all the nice little gardens and she was very sad when they were all removed in order to build the street. Luckily a few of the gardens still exist today. *oink*

This one has a nice vegetable selection. Here you can see big cabbage plants:

The last thing I want to show you today, Mum, is another construction site:



Here they started a few years ago after the only high-rise building had been pulled down. They built lot of little houses. Some of them belong to the retirement home and elderly people can live there and still be cared for by meals on wheels and other services the retirement home offers. Others are independent of the retirement home. They are also still building new ones which is very noisy and the street is always crowded by site vehicles. Luckily there is very little space left to build on and so hopefully they will be finished building soon! *oink*
