Sandvig, Denmark - 22nd May 2017

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

This is the Port of  Sandvig

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0112.jpg

You can see two big hotels next to it.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0113.jpg

We drove to Madsebakke. There were nice scratichings in the rock. You can see a ship here.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0123.jpg

A better view here – it is a ship out of the Bronze Age.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0128.jpg

I have no idea, where these circles stand for.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0129.jpg

On the way home we stopped at the cliffs Helligdomsklipperne.

Almindingen, Denmark - 25th May 2017

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

Today we went to Almindingen – it is the fifthbiggest woodland of Denmark. First we went to the Ekkodalen.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0311.jpg

It was so beautiful here.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0284.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0285.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0288.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0289.jpg

The path was very steep – so we decided not to walk on it.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0292.jpg

Then we went to the point, where you here the echo.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0296.jpg

Next to it was a spring.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0301.jpg

Then we went to the Gambleborg.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0311.jpg

The way was long and exhausting – and unfortunately there was not much to find of the old castle.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0304.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0305.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0308.jpg

But back at the carpark we stopped for a delicious licorice ice-cream.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0314.jpg

We continued to the highest point of Bornholm – Rytterknægten.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0315.jpg

The view wasn't that great.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0318.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0323.jpg

I really preferred the lake not far away – the Borgesoe.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0324.jpg

It was next to the fortress Lilleborg.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0327.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0330.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0334.jpg

It was nice here.

Slaus Stene, Denmark - 25th May 2017

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

We found a great place – called Slaus Stene. A farmer worked as an artist here – this is a self-portrait of him.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0350.jpg

This was one of his first artworks – a card of Bornholm.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0339.jpg

What a wonderful fortress.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0342.jpg

I loved this troll.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0343.jpg

This one was scary.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0348.jpg

Surely he created a round church. It was so nice here.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0354.jpg

Later we went to Arnager. The Danish love their flag. You see it everywhere.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0355.jpg

But we were here for another reason – the longest pier of Denmark.
https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0358.jpg

Surely we walked all the 200 meters to the end.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0365.jpg

The view was beautiful.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0366.jpg

Holiday Home, Denmark - 26th May 2017

By: RikeH

Hi Mum,

It was time to show our holiday home. It was big enough for all of us here.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0385.jpg

A great living-room…

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0370.jpg

…and a nice kitchen.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0371.jpg

Do you know what this is? It was the start of a wasps' nest

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0378.jpg

These were our favourite places – we could sit here and watch TV, or turn around and look into the beautiful garden.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Bornh-0380.jpg

Love
Dille

Niagara Falls, Canada - 14th June 2017

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

What a beautiful place. I visit the Niagara-Falls. Behind me you see the US-Fall.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0138.jpg

There is the Canadian fall – it seems to be wider.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0143.jpg

It looked so beautiful!

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0148.jpg

We went behind the falls – well – this view wasn't that exciting. But it was very loud – and I felt the power of the water.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0153.jpg

Then we went onto a great viewing-platform.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0158.jpg

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0171.jpg

It was very wet – you see the people with the yellow ponchos. Thank you Rike that you took photos, although your camera got wet…

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0172.jpg

Our last stop were the rapids. The walk was called White Water Walk – and the view was so beautiful.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0182.jpg

I learnt about rapids – there are 6 grades for it. These have the number 6 – the most dangerous rapids.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0186.jpg

You cannot see on the photo, how fast the water moved.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0193.jpg

It was a great day here.

https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009//2017/Can-0194.jpg

Dicker Kumpels Birthday, Canada - 21st June 2017

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

A short review of Dicker Kumpel's birthday. We sang a song for him – then he got some gifts. A funny guy who glow in the dark – and someone who can climb on walls. Great.

Later we sat in front of a fireplace.

Trois-Rivieres, Canada - 21st June 2017

By: RikeH

Hello Mum,

Time to see the artists from Dicker Kumpel's birthday. The first guy walked down the wall.

We had a nice party with a drink and popcorn while we waited that it will get dark. And then we saw the funny green glowing boy. This was great!
