yesterday wecelebrated DottiScottis 1 Birthday.
She got a big cake with a candle.



We played music and sang Happy Birthday.



Dotti blew out the candle and cut the cake.



Then we all enjoyed a large piece. It tasted wonderful.









She also got a gift.



3 wishes.





Whatever she want - if Jasper can fulfill it, she will do it.

Hi mum,
do you remember the three wishes that Dotti got for her birthday?
One of them she used  for a farewell pizza party for Shakespeare and GiGi Giraffe.
So last night we sat together one last time,



and enjoyed our pizza.





Then they packed up their belongings and said goodbye.



Their path leads to Austria + Canada.

After a big hug and many good wishes they crawled into their envelopes.

Hi mom,
when Jasper came home from work today, she brought with her a new guest and a packet.



Jasper introduced us. Twixx is the name of the little billy goat. We all greeted him very friendly.



Together we went to the dining room where he showed us his gifts.



Curious, we then opened the other envelope.





Many sweets, a nice card, a tiny pilgrim's staff and a film container appeared.

Hi mom,
tonight Jasper and I will accompany Grandpa to a classical open air. Grandpa loves this music and because he is over 80 years old, he feels safer accompanied.
I took a shower, used a bit perfume from host dad



and I tied a bow tie around.



Now I'm ready to go. Do I look good?

Hi mom,
I had a very tremendous evening yesterday. First we picked up Grandpa, then we went to Wil, where the classical open air took place. From the car park we took an elevator (because Grandpa) to the old town. From the square in front of St. Peter's Church, we had a beautiful view.







We walked through romantic streets with beautiful old houses,









the town hall



and suddenly saw a huge scaffold.



Jasper told me that this scaffold is the tribune (from behind), on which we will sit.
And now from the front.



This building is called "Hof zu Wil".



The Hof was the seat of the prince abbots during more than 500 years.

Hi mommy,
Yesterday I visited the Alp Sellamatt. First we took the car to Alt St. Johann









and there boarded the cable car.



This brought us to 1390 meters above sea level. We had a great view of the Thur valley, the Säntis and Churfirsten.









We hiked on a circular route and there was a lot to see:

Happy pigs



Alpine chalets



and many beautiful plants.



We also wanted to visit a small chapel but there just a baptism took place. Because we do not want to disturb, we sat on the low wall in front and enjoyed the view.





At a fountain we refreshed ourselves.

our path led us back to the cable car.



I slept very, very well that night.

Jasper had a smile on her face. After we opened it, we knew why.



Yuma is home.



He brought two friends that are living here now.

Hi mommy,
Yesterday we attended a special event. A hot-air balloon festival. I could watch up close as the hot air balloons were made ready for launch.



First the balloon envelope is spread and then inflated with a huge fan.





Subsequently, the air is heated with a gas burner. The hotter the air is the more the balloon rises.













Then the pilot and passengers climb into the basket and the balloon takes off.





It was great, totally great.
I will also be balloonist. I've found the perfect balloon - TV size.

After I had watched many balloons at the start, I was waiting for the highlight of the day - the night glow.

Hello mom,
Sunday morning and it's still raining - or again? We do not know.
Well that Jasper has found something interesting that does not require good weather.
So we went to Stein in Appenzell and visited a show dairy.



Here we could see how the famous Appenzeller cheese is made.
A cutting-edge facility that is operated by one person, processed thousands of liters of milk into cheese.









Then, we let us explain the care and ripening of cheese.

















Very interesting.
And then - a cheese lover's paradise.





Approx. 15,000 cheeses are stored here.



Slowly but surely we were hungry.
Unfortunately, this was not for us.



Then Jasper found a place for us and we enjoyed cheese and other delicacies.
