I'm in Finland!
Today I arrived Finland, cool I'm happy to get out from the envelope.
Unfortunately my host is ill (just flu, nothing serious). I tried to make her feel better. And I also got an idea... Wait for some days...

Feeling the snow
It should be spring here in Finland or at least the beginning of the spring. But no, everything is covered with snow as I saw on my first little walk in Finland... Most of the time I stayed in my host's pocket. There was a bit warmer
But I was also happy to sit on the snow and write my name on it

Stop freezing!
My adventure in the snow was so cold that I decided to make me a scarf for the next adventure outside... Well, knitting was more difficult than it seems and I got some help from my host

First Aid Training
Do you remember that I told that my host was ill and I got an idea? I wanted to learn some first aid skills. I think it is important to know how to help others. So, today I attended a first aid training course.
Here you can see something that I learned today: http://www.redcross.fi/learn-first-aid/first-aid-instructions
I know now how to help an unconscious person, how to stop bleeding and how to do CPR, among other things.

Book fair and some shopping
My host and her daughters are book fans, they read a lot and like cooking, handicrafts and so on. Of course we wanted to visit the yearly book fair in Jyväskylä! The fair happened in the fair center called Paviljonki. We were so excited inside that we didn't remember to take pictures there. But we photographed the books we found this time.
On the way towards the center we saw the main bus station / railway station and I even saw two police cars
We were shopping for some time and found new shoes for the younger daughter. We also went to a Café. Each of us got a delicious piece of cake

Palm Sunday
One week before Easter they celebrate Palm Sunday. The palms don't grow in Finland so they decorate willow branches with feathers, papers and ribbons. I also decorated my branch of willow, said the verse they thought me:
Virvon, varvon,
tuoreeks' terveeks',
tulevaks vuodeks.
Vitsa sulle,
palkka mulle
And then I got a chocolate Easter egg, an Angry Bird egg We are also growing pea sprouts, some green for Easter.
As you can see, I've been busy

On the road
Today we made a trip to visit grandparents. I sat in front and saw interesting landscapes and traffic signs... I even noticed a cat mansion. I wonder what kind of cats live there... Big cats like me?

Haapamäki Steam Locomotive Park
Our next stop was Haapamäki Steam Locomotive Park. It was still closed and the locomotives were waiting for summer. But I had a good look at them over the fence! There are 14 different types of steam engines in the park. Haapamäki Steam Locomotive Park arouses nostalgic memories of railroad history of the past 100 years.

Trees
Next thing i did: I studied the trees in Finland. Winter time some of them are still green, some stand without leaves. I saw:
koivu = birch
kuusi = spruce
mänty = pine
