Hi, I thought everyone would like to see my wonderful home 

Today is especially a great day because the ground is covered in snow for the first time this season! I love snow, but Mama says its way too wet for me to play in right now

I still love to look at it though its very pretty

Hanging out in the backyard(: As you can see I love to climb

Shopping today with mommy! My favorite part was getting a bubble machine toy

Dhiren is on his way to his first host in Austria!

Hey Mum!
Today I finally arrived in Austria!  I'm so happy to get out of the dark envelope after so many days!




My host-mum Djali really liked the Christmas card I brought with me. 

As every other TV that visited Djali, I also got inspected by the cat. I think, she likes me.


Dajli then showed me around her flat. Even if it's already Januray, she still kept her Christmas decoration:


I also discovered many things that fit my colors. I think, I will feel very comfortable here in Vienna!




I'm really looking forward to see some nice places in the city soon!

Here's another short update from my adventures in Vienna! 

Friday after work, Djali gave me a short glimpse of the Hofburg, the old imperial appartments of the emperors in Vienna. Sadly, it was already dark and snowy/rainy this day. So the pictures are a bit blurry...

This building complexe is huuuuge!!  In former days, the Habsburgian kings and queens lived here. It has many buildings, courts, passageways and statues. Today some government organisations work here. You can visit the old imperial appartments, the silver collection and a museum dedicated to the Empress Elisabeth ("Sisi") and the famour Spanish Riding School.





Djali likes old statues, but this one is rather scary!  It's part of a fountain in the Hofburg.


These traditional horse carriages are called "Fiaker" in German.


This beautiful building is also part of the Hofburg and houses the National Library:

Hey Mommy!

Finally, there's some snow in Vienna!  Last week it had been snowing quite heavily and one day Djali took me for a short walk to Schoenbrunn palace.

It's really beautiful outside, but also freezing cold... I really liked the palace!






Some more updates will follow this week, Djali promised  She has a few day off from work and so I will be seeing some more of Vienna!

Hello!

Guess what, mommy?! I got to see the Zoo in Vienna!  Djali went there with her little niece and they took me with them. It was rather cold, but we had lots of fun!  Most animals stayed inside, but that didn't matter - we still got to see lots of them.

The Zoo in Vienna is one of the oldest zoos in Europe - and one of the most beautiful, says Djali. It was built and grew around the so-called "Kaiserpavillon". This is the little round house built for the Emperor to have his breakfast there. Today it is the center of the old part of the zoo.


Here are some of the animals we saw:





They have peacocks, that run around free in the zoo and get really close to the visiors:



We spent quite some time in the Rainforest House and the Aquarium. There inside, it is warm - almost 28°C in the Rainforest House and a bit foggy from the humid air.





Djalis little niece loves elephants, so we went there too. They have a baby elephant! He is really cute - but I thought he would be much smaller than he is...he's already quite big!



I miss you, but as you can see: I'm really enjoying my stay here in Vienna!

Hey Mum!

I'm already soo excited!!  Djali got a surprise for me for tonight: We are going to see the musical "Elisabeth"!! 




It's a musical about the Empress Elisabeth, one of the most famous ancient royals here in Austria. It tells her life and struggles. But the story is told as a love story between Elisabeth and the Death (a handsome young man  )

As we will not be allowed to take pictures in the theatre tonight, Djali showed me the souvenir brochure she bought last time. Djali loves musicals and has seen "Elisabeth" already twice.

I read the synopsis, so that I'll understand the story tonight:

Here's another update from Vienna 
I helped Djali to build a new shelf. It was a bit complicated, but we managed to get it right!



I had the task to guard all the screws and other little parts so that the cat cant play with them:


The shelf looked taller then we imagined it would be...but it still fitted in the place it should be.


It's still a bit unstable, but it has to be fixed to the wall


Voila, it's finished! We did a good job!

Good morning!

Today is my last day here in Austria. I'm a bit sad to leave Vienna, but on the other hand I'm already looking forward to going home!
