Hello World!!!

I'm Hugo Hippy! I'm an awesome purple hippo that loves to read, work and learn a lot! I love milky-ways, apples, and trying new foods.




I'm glad to see my friend, NoMi, is back from his journey! Can't wait to see where I get to go!


A quick trip downtown to write a letter to Santa, visit the Target downtown Minneapolis and have fun with my new friends!

One thing I love to do is to read and write. I frequently go to school with my mom, Chloe. I love to have an open-mind and read about anything I can. I was just reading a story called Corrie in one of Chloe's English books as well as a grammar book. Very interesting. I love writing stories and poems. I love expanding my horizons and challenging myself!







Next I get to go to work with Chloe at Cub Foods. =)

With the name CUB, "Consumers United for Buying"
CUB shoppers enjoy low prices on a variety of top-quality name-brand products and the freshest produce, meats, seafood and baked goods available. For total convenience, most CUB stores are open 24 hours a day and offer more than 35,000 items, full-service pharmacies and in-store banking.

Chloe is a cashier at Cub Foods, grocery store. There are a variety of things to do as a cashier besides helping customers check out. With working mostly nights, she cleans the belts, checks customers out, facing (pulling forward) merchandise as well as other little tasks that may come up.

Oh done with another day at work! Now on to a restful night at home.

Snow, Snow, Snow!!!! First time we get to see the snow! yay!



NoMi, Hugo Hippy, and I played in the snow! Fun fun fun!!



Can't wait to go play, sled or build a snowman in the snow!!!

Chino is my new friend!! We met tonight and went to dinner at Chili’s and shopped at Home Goods.











I'm going off to my first journey soon!!! Can't wait! =)

I had a safe trip and have arrived in Pretoria, South Africa. I was welcomed by my host and by Lilla.

Last night we ordered some Chinese Take-Out for dinner.

"Hot and Sour Soup"

Everything was delicious!

This morning we went out for breakfast. We went to 'Wimpy' (a quick service restaurant) and we had a 'Streaky Bacon Breakfast' together with a nice cup of coffee.

Hi Chloe,

Today is a Public Holiday (Worker's Day), so we spent the day relaxing at home. Katara and I sat on their balcony and did some colouring-in to relax

Today we went to Clicks (Pharmacy, Health, Home and Beauty Store) to buy a few things.

Katara bought me a packet of 'Lays' chips



Afterwards I was thirsty so I drank some 'Liqui-Fruit'

Guess what?! I'm in Mauritius!!  Katara's husband needed to go to Mauritius on a business trip, so Katara decided to accompany him. 'Mauritius, officially the Republic of Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres off the southeast coast of the African continent'

A shuttle came to collect us at 06h30 this morning, from Katara's home, and took us to O.R. Tambo International Airport. We got a trolley for our luggage and checked-in.










We looked around at the Duty-free shops and I saw some "African Animal Droppings" - Katara told me that there were chocolates inside 



At one of the shops we saw a life-size beaded sculpture of a former president of South Africa, Mr Nelson Mandela.



We saw more African curious:

We boarded the flight and take off was at 09:40. We got served some lunch on the aeroplane (South African Airways). The food was very nice - we had some fish. They showed "The Great and Powerful Oz" as the in-flight movie.










We flew over Madagascar and landed in Mauritius at about 13:30. Mauritius is ahead of us, so we had to set our watches 2 hours later (15:30).



We got a rental car at the airport and drove to our hotel Le Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel which is situated at the Northern part of Mauritius.

Today Lilla and I explored our hotel room - we are staying in the 'One Thousand and One Nights Room' and it is very pretty!!  









We also have a very nice view from our balcony - there is a coconut palm, with some coconuts hanging from it.

Today we had a relaxing day at the hotel resort 





Lilla and I, worked on our 'tan'
