Remscheid, Strunkis Garden, Germany - 23rd July 2013
By: Strunki
Hi Mum,
safely together with HelmutBluepant, Charlotte, Mefito and the little Oink I reached Remscheid yesterday evening.
Today, after a huge rain-shower, Helmut showed me the first impressions of his garden.
At first we sat in his favourite flower, the potted poppy-blossom
Then we walked through the garden
Here he showed me the ox-eye (daisy) [Buphthalmum salicifolium]
Lots of blooming at the moment
At another place stand the Hemerocallis (in German Taglilien)
Very dark red, I think
Then we made a little stop at the bank in front of the gardenpond
A lot of waterplants are there
The main plant at the moment is the water soldier [Stratiotes aloides], Helmut told me, that the larvas of the dragonfly use it for coming out of the water after some years of growing and hang themselfs at the leaf tips to hatch out
The next station was at the summer lilac [Buddleja davidii]
Woow, the fragrance is..wooow
Even a rare yellow one I find here
Helmut is also very proud about his Agapanthus
He told me that this plant would not bloom every year without the right hibernation
He also showed me the nice rose-bushes
this one has even a nice fragrance
Here we sit in one of the appletrees
Helmut likes plants with eatable fruit ...me, too
This is the reason why we find a lot of red raspberry bushes [Rubus idaeus]
We nibbled a lot of them
That was my day in the garden here
See and hug You, Mum
Yours
Gozer

Wuppertal-Barmen, Germany - 27th July 2013
By: Strunki
today we made a little walk through the pedestrian zone of Wuppertal-Barmen
Here we start at the beginning. Behind me You can see a station in old style of the suspension railway (Schwebebahn), but in the holidays it doesnīt drive, because of the huge renovation that lasts almost 10 years for the whole railway...
One of the nicer pre-war buildings there. A lot of houses were destroyed in WWII and the houses they built up after it, are only functional, but not very nice...
This is the formerly "Hall of fame" , built at the end of the 19th. century. Now its "the house of the youth" and sometimes bands playing there.
Here we play with 3 huge bronce turtles. They have their home in the pedestrian zone and are very popular, almost by the kids who want to sit on them.
This is the town-hall of barmen, built in the late 20ths of the 20th century
And bronce-animals again, but much older, here as colums of large lanterns
Here we sit on the basic of one of them
And we met "Tuffi"
He is very famous here, in the 50ths he jumped out of the suspension railway and fell into the Wupper. Nothing seriously happend to him
That was our little walk
Love and hugs to You, Mum
Yours
Gozer

Wow, Gozer, who would have known you are such a talented ballet dancer! Such a macho man as you are! Well, ballet is not for softies, as you know. It is a heavy sport. So you don't need to be embarressed
I'm proud of you! Your mum Emjay

Hello Mum,

I had the green stones
And it run good for me
Well, I did not loose like a well known hare bunny-lady
Suddenly Helmut appeared very upset an brought an envelope
We all heard her insinde the envelope
Hase, friend of the famous Dr.Kröbner, visits us, what honour
Carefully we opened the envelope together
And had a first look inside
All of us plushies gave her a warm welcome and a first group-hug
Then she turned around to her envelope and brought us her gifts from home
Hi, I am Hase, You must be Gozer, the handsome looking bear?
Uiiiii, thanks for the sweety
Yes, Iīm Gozer and You are a very nice bunny
After the welcome Hase shows the postcard where her home is: Itīs Delligsen
Then we drank our first drink together: Hugo with mint
Sitting around the candle and listening to ToyVoyagers-Stories and adventures
Had a yummy meal, small special-plushie-cookies on a wafel
And singing songs the whole night
What a wonderful welcome
Thatīs for today, Mum
