as we had been in tehran with dear ipuenktchen she proposed to go by bus to semnan - on the silkroad!! - to see the pottery festival celebrated every two years and ipue took part several times!!!

here you can see us with a series of art work of one of her buddies of the azerbaijan pottery friends association!!!!!

instead of a short holidays we decided to have a day out for the urmia-lake via the peninsula islamic island. and it was soooo great!!!!!

although it was sad, too, as the lake got smaller and smaller, from year to year more dried out........

surpriiiiiiiiiiise - the very first one or two *schneegloeckchen* found in our yard!!!

what a great day we passed in this beautiful 2.117 sm large qajar house & garden in tehran, belonged to a former professor of tehran university with a french wife and both lifelong collection of antique stuff!!!!!

jippieeeeeeeeeeeeeeh - today is the b-day of our dear mom ipue.. and they decided to have *a day in europe* on this special day!!!!! we were so thrilled when she wake us up in the very early morning at 4 AM and let us current, and after a short breakfast we went by taxi to the *middle east largest square* to get a taxi for jolfa, the border town!!!! in jolfa we changed some money and went on the other side of the border!! there had been nobody at the border at this early time and also about the newly high value of forein currency...!! and it was great to hear when they ordered a taxi to Ordubad to see another place, because normally ppl are going only to Nakhtshevan city!!

so we went through an impressing landscape, had a 2nd breakfast in the car, arrived at ordubad after an hour!! we made a tour around the small city, some buildings from bygone times by an architecture like in IR.. and the most interesting place was like a market square in ancient cities, with a reeeeally very large tree and many benches around and soooo many men chatting and relaxing there!!! 



so we left ordubad, happy this time we had seen another part of the little autonomous republic and went back to reach nakhtshevan city!!!

still quite early at 10.30 AM we reached nakhtshevan city!!! it was a great weather and for ipue worth to be here without any *extra clothes*... as we are in EUROPE!!!! *smiiiiiiiiiiiiile* first we went for some sightseeing and it was really interesting, all the buildings from the olden times are in same architecture style like in IR.. mostly from seljuq era.. later as the weather got hot more and more we found a place beside a water to take some icecream and even ipue changed her clothes; as we didn't know the weather from before, she brought different clothes to be able to choose..... from this place even we could see the aras dam quite far!!



when we are in nakhtshevan we are never going into restaurants as the super markets have so many tasty things for an european taste and we cannot find in IR.. so when we had been hungry we bought some great smokey cheese and other things, european bread and so on - yummyyyy!!! (even they have great marmelades from russia from european fruits like blueberry and others!! sometimes ipue brought this as a souvenir for her friends!!) and so we went to look for a bench under a tree and were going to relax a bit.....

in the late afternoon ipue decided to get a taxi to the border for going back home! what a great day out we had!!!!!!!!!! we were happy but tired!!! 

wow... so abandoned tehran we never had seen before... school kids and students are for holidays and on FRI specially nobody at work and sooo you can dance on the streets... hahaaaa.....



here you see the azadi sq from far... for sure everybody had seen it at the TV untill now!!!??!

boah.... sour-cherries as much as you may imagine!!! we helped to pick them up at ipue's friend's and later at home we helped ipue to make marmelade!!!!!

we had the great chance another 2 days to go with ipue to their *europe nearby*!!!
it was so great, but an unbelievable awfull hot weather!!!!!! :-((((

do you know THE TIGER???? originally swedish he came together with laura from berlin and we are very happy and proud to meet him!! today we had a fantastic dinner by *the swiss star-cook-to-be*...

we had so great days with so nice guests; finally we had an APFELSTRUDEL-MARATHON!!!
done by dear sonja!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she made SIX apfelstrudel for us!!!

today is the very last holiday for schoolkids in IR..... ipue was worrying to have a crowd in shahgoli restaurant, where she had invited to have a thankyou-breakfast with selfservice with her family & friends, helping her during these last days so much :-)))))))
