Travelog for: Hemming

One last picture together and then Rudolph gets into his safety bag. Suomi-Girl and me will accompany him to his destination.

Remember this picture? It's Rudolph and me in front of the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Emjay will leave Rudolph inside the tower. Isn't that great?

So here is Rudolph's place. We say our last goodbyes and leave him alone. It's sad...
But we go on and climb the last steps to the highest point of the tower. We have a marvelous view!

We can see the whole of Delft!
I hope we will hear from our friend Rudolph soon. We will miss him!

Dear mum,

We said goodbye to Humphrey today. He is leaving on his first journey: to Germany. Goodbye, dear friend! I hope to see you again, somewhere in the world!

Dear mum,

We were in the center of Delft and saw the New Church from a distance. Will our friend Rudolph still be up there, we wondered.
As it grew dark, we could enjoy the Christmas decoration, that is still above the canals.

The weather is bad, so we stayed in. Good that we did, cause the postman brought a package! But... isn't that Humphrey? He mysteriously returned! The next day Emjay took the package to the post office again. Hopefully this time Humphrey will arrive at Alienne's address!

Have you ever heard about a hotel especially for cuddly toys? Well, there is one in Delft! It's called "Knuffelhotel". From the window you can see three churches: the Old Church, the New Church and Maria van Jesse Church.

We meet Buddy Bear, who lives at Knuffelhotel. He throws a tea party for us with a Delft Blue tea set. And we have some nice blue and white cakes as well. Suomi-Girl wears a traditional Dutch hat.

Buddy Bear shows us around the hotel. In the kitchen I meet chef Mouseone. He tells me about the biological products he uses.

It turns out this isn't our room after all! We get the luxury suite!

The next morning we say goodbye to Buddy Bear. Thank you for the hospitality, Buddy! We can recommend Knuffelhotel to all cuddly toys!

This was a nice little surprise!

Dear mum,

I have news for you! I have been invited to go to Germany! Yes, it's time to move on... It's difficult to leave Suomi-Girl and Dille behind. But that's the fate of a ToyVoyager.

There was a place I haven't visited before. It is an idyllic church. Nowadays it's a cultural center, an exposition room and a biological restaurant. Dille and Suomi-Girl came along with me.

How do you like my new summer cottage? 
We're in the church garden now. In summer you can eat outside, if the weather is good.
