Hi everyone,

today we visited Wiesbaden. It´s a beautiful town. In world war II fortunately Wiesbaden was not as much destroyed as other towns, so there´s the charm of all the old buildings and houses still alive.

We started our walk at the spa gardens, you see me in front of a statue of emperor Wilhelm the 1st, and get on to the Hessian Statetheatre, the backside of that building is bordering to the spa gardens. Next stop was in the Theatre Arcades (on the front side) and the Spa Hotel which is directly beside. Now there´s a casino inside and the place in front of it is called "Bowling Green" there are often concerts and events in summer. Then we passed a little shop where they sell souvenirs and special thing from Black Forest and there is the worlds biggest cuckoo clock. Just around the corner there´s the "Schlossplatz" where we saw the Marketchurch and the old townhall that now is used as civil registry office. Through little alleys with beautiful little houses and shops we get to the Kochfountain with its hot water. There are natural resources of hot sulphureous water.
On our way through the pedestrian area, back to the busstop, at last we passed the Roman Gate.

It was a wonderful day out and as it was a lot of fresh air and walking we all enjoyed our selfmade pizza in the evening  B)

Hi there,
we just get come back from a medieval market....you know knights and tents and things like this ;) It was only a little market, but nice.
There were a lot of old handmade things or better...things they also were made in the medieval.
We saw a market stand with old creams, salves, scents and incence materials, also one with old bottles for wine and liqueurs.
Everywhere bucklers and helmets and tents.

Hello!!!
Last week I was in Wolfenbüttel.
It's a nice little city near Braunschweig and Hannover. And by the way it's the city where Jägermeister comes from and was invented.
Together with a friend we made a little walk through the citty. :D

Firth we were at the Stadtmarkt with the Statue of Herzog August.

Gotthold Ephraim Lessing lived in Wolfenbüttel for a long time. There he was librarian at the  Herzog August Bibliothek.

The castle in Wolfenbüttel is the second largest preserved castle in Lower Saxony. Today the castle is occupied by a high school, the Federal Academy for Cultural Education and a museum.

Nice little city centre.
In the 16th Century, Dutch urban planner, how could it be otherwise invested in Wolfenbüttel canals which criss-crossed the town plan. Here, at the junction of Wall Stobenstraße and ship, you can still see one of the few preserved canal and get a picture of the medieval city.
