Greenwich, London, England - 20th July 2013

Exploring the grounds of the Queen’s House was fun. From under the colonnade, Arthur could see the Observatory on the top of the hill, which showed just how far he had walked. He was also quite delighted to find a couple of old ships’ cannons, which he had fun playing with.

Nearby, Arthur discovered a fabulous collection of enormous anchors, and other curious objects. He wondered what the big orange and yellow metal thing was. Luckily there was sign explaining that this was a cutterhead from a dredger, and was used to dig out sand and rock from the seabed.

Christopher Wren’s Old Royal Naval College was another famous place. Now home to Greenwich University, its impressive buildings have also been seen in lots of movies, including Octopussy, Patriot Games, The Wings of the Dove, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Gulliver’s Travels, The King’s Speech, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Skyfall, Les Miserables, and many others.

Arthur’s feet were getting quite tired now, but no trip to Greenwich would be complete without a visit to the Cutty Sark. In the late 19th century, this famous tea clipper was one of the fastest sailing ships in the world, and was used to transport tea from China to England, before later being used to bring wool all the way from Australia.

London, England - 22nd July 2013

The weather in London was very hot and sweaty, so Arthur’s last afternoon with Travel Ted was spent playing Scrabble indoors. The game had been going well for Arthur (he was particularly pleased to have placed a J on the treble word score), but, towards the end, his letters started to look a little bit difficult.

Potterspury Car Boot, UK - 4th August 2013
By: JemmaJ
Today all of us went to a car boot sale; Jemma tries to go every week. We stayed in the car as people wanted to buy us!
We tried to confuse Jemma by moving around the car while we were waiting to park the car. Hopefully the weather will stay fine; as none of us want to get wet!

Well it is now time for Arthur to head back to Germany; He is not gong home but to Svea. He hugged his fellow TVs goodbye and took his place within the envelope. Hopefully his journey will be quick...
The images are on Jemma's ToyVoyagers blog - http://toyvoyagersadventures.blogspot.com/2013/10/another-goodbye.html - she cannot upload the images here at the moment
