My host has lots of friends and relatives. Today I helped her to finish writing the cards sealing the envelopes and sticking the stamps. Tomorrow all the cards will be mailed

Workshop
In the workshop I helped my host to make some notebooks. We were so busy that we had no time to take photos of the proses but luckily we have a picture of the result. Take a look!

Christmas path of intangible gifts
Today we were talking about recycling, repairing, reusing, not wasting the food, giving away the unnecessary, selling at the flee market and playing without toys. So important things!

Christmas market
Jyväskylä got a new Christmas market place this year. Of course we went to see it even though today was windy and snowy... We took only very few photos but from these you will get the spirit

Library
On the visit to the library I met a couple of elfs, looked at some Christmas books and read about the Northern lights.

Sunny winter day
It was cold (-20) and clear today. I was cycling between two working places with Fiete and our host. The sun looked strange, we were looking at it and even climbed higher to take a better look of the sun... But that was maybe not a good idea, we fell to the snow
The sun started hiding behind the clouds but the winter roar with snowy trees was very beautiful

Christmas Eve part 1
We woke up early in the morning and watched both TV and the dawn with the blue moment... On TV my favourite was The Snowman
They don't usually have a Christmas tree in my host's family but this year the children took one from the grandparent's backyard. It smells great! The tree is so tiny that all the decoration was too heavy for the branches. The girls made pretty paper snowflakes and the Christmas tree is just perfect!
We saw some presents under it and big sack appeared from somewhere (of course we did not see Santa Claus visiting...). Later in the evening we were opening the presents and feeling happy

Boxing Day
The most well known tradition linked to the Boxing day is "the ride of Stephen's Day" which refers to a sleigh ride with horses. These merry rides along village streets were seen in contrast to silent mood of the previous Christmas days. Nowadays some people still do the sleigh ride but my family does the ride by car.
We went to the frozen and snowy and empty harbour. Sunny and COLD. I enjoyed the views. Fiete, Traveling Teddy and Snowman joined me.
And of course we went to greet the big Panda of the chocolate factory. Happy Christmas to you, too!

Hi!
I've arrived in Portsmouth! Look at the friends I've made! I am looking forward to having adventures here, but I'm pretty tired from my journey so I doubt there'll be any adventures tonight!

Hi,
Today, my host took me to her favourite place. She loves going for walks here, and she wanted to show us. When the tide's in, where we were would have been under water! And we had to be careful, because if you stand on the mud you can loose a shoe. There was a realy nice view, though, across the water. There were also plenty of birds around which we ejoyed watching!
