Okinawa, Japan - 12th August 2008
By: JaymeC
Hello,
My name is Spooky. I'm a little dog in search of the truth! I know its out there... I've watched all the X-Files episodes and there's definitely something going on!
I'd love to visit any areas of paranormal activity, whether it be aliens, creatures, or ghosts! I need to find out which are real and which are fake. I hope I have better luck coming up with evidence than Mulder and Scully!
I also would love to visit any government buildings to see if I can sniff out a conspiracy in the making! You know you can't trust them.
Of course I'm still a young doggy so I'm sure it'll be okay if I take a break sometime to try out the local food or see any neat local sites. It'll all help me learn, right?

Okinawa, Japan - 17th June 2009
By: JaymeC
I'm home! I don't know how exactly I got here. I remember heading towards Roswell... then its all just black. I suppose the aliens got me! I remember bright lights, and some one kept saying something about this place called eBay...then suddenly I was waking up on this shelf, near all my old DVDs. Maybe it was all just a dream?
I barked and I barked until someone heard me and suddenly some other toys came over to investigate. One of them, Kari, invited me to come home with him to have a real adventure since he thought I was making up all of this. Maybe it really was a dream, but then if it was where did my tag go? Hmm... I must investigate further... But Germany seems as good a place to start investigating as anywhere!
First though I need some time to stretch out at home...
Spooky

Today is a big flea market in front of the palace of Bruchsal. Petra's husband and her son were "very happy" to take me and the other toyvoyagers with them and take photos with us

It is raining cats and dogs and the thunder is very loud. Petra says, that the thunderstorm is just over Bruchsal. Later we read in the newspapers, that one house burnt. Thank Godness, nobody got hurt.
Here you see two views out of Petra's bedroom.

Wow, I can tell you, Petra had some crazy last weeks at her school. She is so happy, that there are only 2 more days and then summer break starts.
I'm sure, you aren't really surprised, that it is raining once more and very windy.

Untergrombach, Germany - 5th August 2009
By: fam-united
Today we drove to the Michaelsberg in Untergrombach. Untergrombach is one of Bruchsal's suburbs with about 6000 inhabitants.
3500 to 2600 BC there were frist human signs on the Michaelsberg, which gave this culture the name "Michaelsberger Kulturkreis"
1502 AD Joss Fritz from Untergrombach planned the "Bundschuhaufstand" during the time of Peasant's Wars.
The chapel is on top of the Michaelsberg.
In the far (right side) you see some houses, which belong to Bruchsal.
Bruchsal and also Untergrombach are located at the edge to the Kraichgau. Here you see the Rhine Valley. If the weather is sunny, you can see the Palatinate Forest in the far.
I learned something about "Magerrasen" (neglected grassland), which is typical for the Michaelsberg. Behind the sign you see so-called "Steinriegel" (field clearance cairn), made by people working on their fields a long long time ago. They threw the big stones from their fields to the border of the neighbour's field, so that in the middle all stones were accumulated. Many animals and flowers love this gaunt places and that's why a few weeks ago, people cleaned the Steinriegel from all the earth, that came between the stone during the many many years and from all the other plants, that love to grow in earth.
The nature reserve sign, they shortly added some rules.
