Travelog for: Lumpy

I got in the car with my new friends to drive from Concord, CA to Elk Grove, CA. We drove over the Antioch Bridge, up through Rio Vista, over many waterways, through Lodi, and then up Interstate 5 to Elk Grove, just south of Sacramento (the capital of California).

We stopped along highway 160 between Rio Vista and Lodi to take this picture in front of the Brannan Island State Recreation Area entrance. My host said it was because the sign had her son's name on it.

We stopped to visit my host's godmother and see her new condo in Elk Grove. I was admiring the holiday decorations and artwork.

We stopped to play and eat at McDonalds in Elk Grove. We met up with another pafo'er while we were there and had a good time. I was flirty with this cute little pony and even shared my fries with her, but alas we are not meant to be because I will be traveling on soon and she will be staying with my host.

I spent Christmas Eve with some of my host's family in the foothills of Mt Diablo, on the Concord/Clayton border.

Tomorrow we are going to visit Santa Clara for Christmas Day, then on to packing and the big trip to Oregon!

Today I celebrated Christmas with my host's family. We ate good food, played games, and did some coloring.

On Christmas night, I got to snuggle up with this little boy and go to sleep in a nice swing.

Today we went on a playdate to Studio Grow. I got to play with all the toys and have lunch with 2 nice little girls. I also did some art and helped put on a puppet show.

This is me sleeping in the car on the long drive from the Bay Area, CA to Eugene, OR.

We stopped on our drive at Taco Bell so we could have dinner and the dogs in the car could get out to walk around. I had some Mountain Dew and won a prize from one of the game machines.

When we arrived in Eugene, we found this nice dollhouse waiting for us at my host's new house so we played with it.

Today we had a playdate with another little boy. I had lunch with them and then got a pony ride from a dog.

Today we visited the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, or OMSI for short. We had lunch at the OMSI Cafe. We investigated bugs with our magnifying glasses. I met OMSI Fred, who has apparently been there a LONG time. I had a conversation with a real bullfrog. I saw the view of the river from a glass elevator. And I got to play with a lot of kids and see cool exhibits. Check it out at www.omsi.edu.

Today we also went to IKEA, which is the greatest place! We played house in the showrooms and I ate a famous plate of meatballs with lingonberry sauce.

Today we went to play on the gymnastics equipment at Bounce Gymnastics (http://www.bouncegymnastics.com). I liked the trampolines the best! We also learned how to balance on the balance beam and swing on rings.
